We've owned every generation of Cherokee and have 3 between 2012 and 2014 now. They are badass. If I didn't need a truck I'd be driving one. None of the 3 have needed anything but oil/brakes. Plug changes aren't cheap as they have 16 plugs and a stuffed engine compartment.

I'm glad you have had good luck with them. I've just heard too many bad things to trust them. I'll take an import over American any day.

Still has Momas custom plates and “Alaskan girls kick ass stickers” ! Pimping that shit..
Also had 2 Durangos, a Dakota, 1500 and 2nd Gen 2500. No issues past basic maintenance (knock on wood). Lol
All the same drivetrain accept the 2500.
Well maybe they have gotten better. My dad had two dodgesin the early 2000s and they were nothing but problems

We have a 2016 Durango with the 295hp Pentastar V6 and i was impressed with the acceleration. That thing will shit and get. For sport mode 0-60 skip to 45 seconds.

For whatever it’s worth, I’ve done well with Subaru. Not the most powerful, but higher than many other vehicles, all-wheel drive, sportier than some. In a forester, ive had deer and a homemade 7 foot duck boat...the duck boat for several seasons. Ton of camping trips with it. For our family this was an upgrade from a Honda Civic, so that comparison alone shows why I liked it. I can see going from a truck to the Subaru would be a different story.
