Well we went out last evening and the temps and wind gusts didn’t help one bit... Not a big fan of fishing in 20+ mph gusts bit sometimes you just gotta do it lol...

Caught fish but not the size and #’s we were hoping for this time of year....

My buddy Shawn caught one mutant bass that had both smallmouth and largemouth characteristics.... None of the fish broke the 15” mark which is the size limit for that lake but we still managed to have a good time. The temps dropped 12 degrees while we were there and the wind did die down a few mph by the time we left but on a good note we had he whole lake pretty much too ourselves 😂😂😂

Most fish came off of a little bait called a Ned rig, nothing special about it and most 5at fish it are amazed by the numbers it produces for being such a simplistic looking presentation. It does find a lot of rocks though lol, seems to snag more then most baits combined but the fish it catches makes it worth it... For now lol...

Friday our fishing crew from NC will be traveling north to fish Erie with us for the weekend. Same 3 as last year and the weather looks like it’ll be better Saturday with 1-3’s vs 3-5’s last year on Saturday. They all caught fish Ohio awarded smallmouth and sheephead last year, here’s hoping for a repeat. Regardless it’ll be fun to be on the lake with them again.
Yesterday when Shawn and I were fishing on Shennango his phone was blowing up between the 3 of them lol.... Wanting to know what to bring, he told them bring your poles and an eagerness to set the hook and we’ll provide the rest lol.... 🎣🎣🎣👍🏼

Have a good time J!

Mason and I went up to the lake Sunday. We fished Sunday evening and Monday morning before heading back home in time for a 6pm baseball game. It took us less than 1 1/2 hours to limit Sunday, Monday was a little slower but still incredible. Lots of fish in that lake. We snatched up a few little largemouth on the way back in too.

Dang, everyone is catching fish! Nice.
J- we went out of East Harbor. Never made it more than a couple miles from the harbor entrance 'cause we didn't need to. :)

Hey guys i have been raised on southern food and gulf coast cuisine. How would i go about cooking a walleye if i were to get my hands on one??? I pretty much cook all my fish blackened with an occasion frying here and there.
I batter mine in pancake mix and beer then deep fry. That's actually the only way I've ever done it.
