Good choice! The extended warranty is worth the extra piece of mind as well. To me anyways.

When looking new, I also like to look at what next years model has to offer.

Jamie...There is one in Pataskala right now on Craigslist. 99 miles, 2 sets of tires, Winch and Snow Plow! 5000.
That's like 1200. plus worth of free shit.

my budget limits are meaningless now, lol. if I'm going to shell out $6k for a used one, I'll pony up another couple thousand and get a new one. I take care of my stuff, but I'm not all into turning wrenches as a pastime. I can fix stuff and do maintenance, but I'd rather be doing most anything else besides working on my power equipment. durable, reliable, longevity mean a lot to me when it comes to expensive machinery. pretty obvious to me that I'm going to have to get really lucky to find a used Rancher or Foreman with the features I want for substantially less than a new one.

I agree. I would have a very hard time paying 5-6K if I can buy a new one for 8k. If money is an issue, I would still rather finance it. Alot of times on new you can get very low interest rates or 0. The other advantage to buying new is you can get exactly what you want.

My only real experience with Honda is my Father in laws mid 90’s 300 fourtrax.... im telling ya that thing has done more work than any fourwheeler around...2wd to boot. Heated his house 100% with wood its hauled on a wagon. Plowed the drive. Backfilled ditches.. hell he caught the battery on fire once and it keeps truckin along. Built like a damn tank.

I grew up with a 1986 250 Fourtrax and it was built to last through armageddon. Bought a 2001 350 Rancher new and it still runs great. My 2007 420 Rancher was a beast as well. That family lineage is hard to beat!

When I was in the market the Hondas were significantly more expensive than the other brands. A brand new Honda was 2k more than my brand new Suzuki, with similar specs. Just food for thought. Honda has a bulletproof reputation but most other brands are just as durable when it comes to occasional use.

One day I'll have one!
I wish that was mine lol. They let us borrow the tractors and attachments at work. That thing is a beast, I mowed a 4 acre pasture that was 3 foot high in most spots, ground up a stump for the neighbor today. I wish I had 25k laying around for one with a couple attachments lol. Made in the USA though[emoji41]

I'm pretty much shopping for new old stock from dealers. lots of brand new loaded 2016's out there for a couple grand less than 17's and 18's. I've located a couple that are two years old with less 100 miles on them. hoping to negotiate a little on them. A loaded 2018 Foreman 500 Rubicon DCT, EPS is nearly $10,000. out of my reach for now. the newer used ones are going for $6-8K.

That's a good plan. I went with a 2017 instead of the 2018 and saved a butt load. You can definitely wheel and deal when it's old stock or barely used. Good luck man!

I shopped SxSs on Tuesday since I had to visit all our local dealers. Some well price '17s down here, including a Wolverine for under $10K.

Also, you heard it here first: SE Ohio is getting a MEGA store for powersports. The Iron Pony of Appalachia!
