Been saving that one all summer for the inevitable train wreck thread that happens every bowl season. Lol.
Negative ghost Rider. I love Dustin like a brother but I'm afraid the ND fans are the one with the epiphany this week. Buckeye fans knew they were not a top 2 team. "Maybe" a top 4. Probably a top 6-8. ND fans realized they were a top 10 team.
So Saturday we had out Giles family Christmas party at my grandparents. Huge ND fan family. Only guy not wearing a stupid leprechaun on his shirt was me. First thing that happened was my grandma locked the door...my aunt literally started dry heaving as I hugged her. I was the most hated man in the house. When the game came on, I wasn’t even aloud in the room. Still, I was proud to be standing in that house with my buckeyes shirt! The bashing is what got me into college football to begin with. That is the joy in all this, not the team.
So wouldn't it make more sense to go to atleast an 8 team playoff to ensure Georgia or someone similar has a legit shot at a playoff? Seems obvious to me

Nah the problem isn't that its just 4. The problem is in how those 4 are ranked. Keep the 4 and fix the rankings.
They key word being rankings. They are decided by humans who naturally have some bias one way or another. IMO, if it's gonna be rankings, you have to increase the field to increase the chance the most deserving teams get a shot
