Took a long weekend up to the Bay. The weather wasn't great and actually put us on the sidelines a whole day, but we fished when we could. Cleaning and vacuum sealing in a Hampton!
Sweet man. We're going back up the 20th as long as the ice holds . Barring any super crazy weather I'd say we should be good
We were on 14" 9 miles out. Extended forecast looks good for some good travel conditions as well. The west side is a little hazardous however. Several machines got wet Saturday and Sunday.
Copy that . My buddy hammered em the last couple days off the west side in 14 fow . And on Thurs/Friday they were out of Finn road in 26 fow near the spark plug and did well. I'm sure hoping the 14 fow bite is still happening when we go up .
Nice going Nate. I got into some huge Perch this weekend as well. Small, private pond behind a log cabin. The idiot was gone for the weekend, so I helped myself and filled my freezer
We were in 29.5 ft near the plug. Did ok on the perch, hard pickin with the walleye. Crushed the gators on the same numbers last year. The eyes seemed to have moved shallower.

Good to know there were some perch deeper . The way the walleye bite has been for my buddies I have dreams of getting our walleye limits in the morning then chasing perch in the PM . Or possibly going towards Tawas for Lakers . See what happens

Back up north again for the holiday. Got a late start but I'm doing my best to make up for it.
Nice Jimbo! Where did you launch out of? Ill be going back up on Friday morning. Probably the east side.
We launched out of Finn Rd this morning. Real nice access point. We are about five miles straight out from there. One crack in close to shore we used ramps to cross, but other than that it was smooth sailing.
That's where we went out of last time. I have another buddy that's fishing near you. How bad was the crack? You fishing with Ross perchance!?

We're heading up on Weds night to fish Thurs to Sunday . Staying in Pinnconning and hope to fish there . But will be willing to trailer to where we need too
Crack wasn't too awful bad. Used ramps for one of our guys on the way out. Going back in, I utilized my typical "send it" approach. No issues.
And yes Ross and his buddy were out there with us. He was gonna stay til dark so I'm curious to hear how they finished up.
Meanwhile ... Somewhere in Michigan . Don't mistake that sound for ice cracking . It actually a slushy rolling rock serving it's purpose at 830 am
