There were actually small holes in the tree...about the size of a 000 buckshot pellet. I suspect some kind of bug.

Here's a pic of my Garden i finally got in last Saturday. Fuggin Robins or something already got to two of my eggplants
That bacteria causes pressure resulting openings to appear and sap to seep out. If it were bugs I'd say the sap would be clear. No expert though.

It was a bit muddy last night, but I was able to get most of the weeds under control. My beans are growing extremely slow. While weeding, I found dog pecker mushrooms coming up under them! My cucumbers got hammered by yellow striped beetles and are suffering as a result. I may replant in the near future if they don't recover. Other than that, the peppers and maters look great. All of my maters are thriving, which makes me a happy farmer!

If you look at the 3rd row of maters, that small one has been a test dummy for some high-end fertilizers from Humbolt County, CA. For those that don't know, Humbolt County is the seat of the legal marijuana movement. Many of the best growers in the world are from there and they've developed some of the finest technologies for growing weed, which just so happens, also work very well for tomatoes. I bought some to try and as you can see, it works amazingly well! The plant just to the right of the stunted one, is the same variety and was the same size the day of planting. The difference is amazing.

Even in a raised bed, after the last 24+hr. soaker, I expect it to be the final nail in the coffin for our plants. We got the boys sunflowers transplanted and they are nearly 1' tall but the maters and cucs are done if the son doesn't come out and dry/heat things up. I have never seen anything like this spring weather my entire life.....crazy!

This zucchini is loaded right now! I like them, but the chickens love them, so this is a win-win if there ever was one!
