Just got done painting around of the bottom porch. I will add 2nd coat another time. I havent done the left/right side of the house yet. The paint I'm using is Battleship Gray. $28 a gallon by Dutch.

Looking good buddy!

I tore out my garden this weekend and fed my chickens for weeks to come! I added 2 wagon loads of beans and one of squash/zucchini after I took this pic. I tore down all the temporary fencing and mowed. I should have everything ready to plant by the end of next weekend.

Planted a peach tree spring of 2018...it was about a foot and a half tall. This year it’s over 5 feet tall and we got our first peach.😊 We have a plum tree that hasn’t produced at all and it 7 or 8 years old. This fall I’m going to cut it down and replace it with another peach tree....also going to plant a cherry tree. Our blackberries did well this year TOO! Need to get more raspberry plants. Grapes didn’t produce for second year in a row so they gone! That’s where I’ll put some blueberry bushes. Hopefully by 2021 I’ll have a good production of fruit.

One of the last runs of the year today. I had the idea of making a smoked hot pepper mustard that I could use as a base for a Carolina-styled mustard BBQ sauce. I made that happen today and will bring some mustard, the BBQ sauce, to Strouds to pair with @Beentown's meat. I also made an awesome batch of salsa, so I'll bring a quart with me to Strouds as well. Was a good day of homesteading. Even had 6 dozen eggs to take care of!
