My feelings are hardly hurt. To those who took the time to give actual advice, thank you. To the sarcastic comedians, stick to facebook.

Some decent advice. Then name calling? Look bud, we don't edit here. You can say what you want. Just doesn't seem like a great way to make friends or get positive feedback.

You are correct. 5 acre patch in ag country is tough. Entry and exit is difficult when they can see you walk that far in. Look for a drainage ditch or something to walk in thru. Hunt the edges. Not much else you can do there. Maybe see if there is a rise in the land that blocks you from being seen by the deer for most of the walk in. Maybe take a look at the aerials to see which drainages or other wood lots they might run to would help.

In regards to comparing this to FB? I'm not insulted. I'm humored. Most of the guys here enjoy the place because it isn't full of FB wannabe Michael Waddell idiots. Showing up without an introduction, then asking about how to hunt what seems like a basic property, then stirring the pot. . . .This is what "I" would view as a troll. I hope not. Hopefully you see we are a pretty welcoming group.

You can go into the woodlot too if you know its empty. I've hunted northern ohio a ton when I was growing up since that's where I'm from. Lots of places 5 acres is a bigass woodlot. Mainly need to figure out what brings them to your area. Is there a resource they like or do they just get pushed around? Most of my high school buddies that still live and hunt up there put good deer on the ground every year from brush blinds in area just like that. No matter what anyone says, you're gonna have to just figure the area out this year and use that knowledge next year.

Someone trace the IP please, I don’t know how. This dude can’t be serious. I’ll direct my next comments once we figure out if the dudes for real. I said some pretty stupid shit when I was new...dude might just be having an off day. Or he could be a meat hugger.

I'm one of the aforementioned geniuses on the forum, and I can't help but point out that coming on to any internet forum for the first time and asking how to deer hunt a 5 acre woodlot is more retarded than any of the replies you got.

We had one dipshit once who posted his first thread asking about crawling down in a coyote den face first to shoot em. He took a rash of shit in that thread. And somehow now has 21,272 posts and 13k likes. Some get it, some don't.

My favorite piece to hunt is fairly similar in topography but no where near the same county. In fact my honey hole is in the worst deer county in the entire state. Having said that, it’s a gold mine. The key to hunting an area like that is to stay OUT of the woods. Deer use those little pockets of cover but they will not tolerate sharing them with a hunter. Leave them alone, hunt the edges or fence rows that you can easily access.
Good luck.

What you talking about Brock?? LOL....are you hunting next to me ???
