Was a pretty good morning in my “stupid stand” well, l think it is less stupid now. Wind beat me to death, but was consistent all morning, which is a relief. Great spot on edge of bedding area, but kinda low. W and SW wind stayed true. Had a doe at 8-9 yards, offering herself up, but she glanced up and noticed me just as I was putting tension on the string. Didn’t make me, but had one eye on me until out of range. She had a bb with her and just after they got out of sight, a 1 1/2 5x4 came past me grunting about every third step. Could have shot him at 9-10 yards. Drew on him for practice and to see if he caught the movement, which he did not. Followed the other two out of sight. Forkie cruised by in search mode half hour later, then a bb by himself came in from behind me, using my trail. He wound up offering me a shot in same spot as the doe earlier, but going the opposite direction. That little fucker looked up at me, too! He didn’t make me either, but had already smelled me. At 10 I spotted a dandy 10 point sniffing and feeding on the hillside across a small drainage from me. He was coming my way, but when he got into drainage, he turned and I lost sight of hm in some thick nasty stuff about 60-70 yards out. He makes 140” pretty easy, I think. Saw one other deer that I could not identify at 11:30. Bailed at noon. I’ll kill a deer in this not-so-stupid stand. Just had an adult doe by herself come through 50 yards out in front of me while typing this. Game on. Better start hunting now.

Forgot my good harness, so I had to use a freebie from a treestand, which ruled out a hang and hunt. I'm back in the Corner Pocket where I was this AM. I button hooked a doe and the biggest BB I've ever seen. They walked into the food plot as I was sneaking down the trail in the woods. When I got to my tree, they were 16 steps on the other side. Literal "oh shit" moment! We had a Mexican standoff, then they meandered off. Got several turkey looking for bugs and nuts in the sanctuary on the other side of the plot.
There's 3 scrapes around the edge of this plot. Surely something will want to get downwind of the bedding that's 75 yards away, while they check scrapes and scent check the food...

I’m out. Was out this morning and other day. Haven’t saw anything. Figured I would see some small ones cruising. Nothing. So tommrow I’m going to go buy a big ol batch of corn, it’s going to be beautiful, I’m telling you beautiful pile of corn a perfect pile folks.

Just had a doe come running by me. About 5 minutes go. Nothing behind it. Hit my grunt tube a couple times after she was gone like Jackie Bushman and all them do. Unfortunately a 170 inch buck didn’t show up. Must be me. 
Just let one go, hopefully bigger to come, hopefully soon!!!

Passed the heavy wide 9 I’ve had since spring. Good deer. Wouldn’t have been ashamed of him a at all. Just I’m stupid.
Fawn came out behind me and to my left. Mom follows. I was just about to " Mep" and she spooked. Bitch took an extreme left right into the woodline and into the neighboring property. Started blowing like every 15 seconds. Slowly worked her way away. Had to scare the fawn away to be able to get out

Ok I'll say it "What the hell was you thinking" you know you just jinxed yourself the rest of the season LOL...... By the way Tyler said "Thank you"!!!!!!!

Made it out on a whim. 2 bucks 2 doe~~Biggun was a no show
Did a side by side hunt with Jon in my hot spot. Seen a huge bodied pot belly buck, but he never came in. Seen 8 deer total this evening.

I need to talk to that boy! That's a good deer....next year a great deer but I just signed his death warrant. They never survive after I let them go. Trail cameras saved his life. If one that size comes by that I don't know I will probably shoot. I saw him below me and hit the grunt and can.....reeled him right in.
