Sat till 9:30... couldn't take it anymore. I seriously underestimated how cold it was going to be this morning. Feels like 17 at daybreak. Need to get the bibs out.
Saw a buck harassing a doe about 400 yards out in a cut cornfield at day break. My target doe snuck through at about 70 yards around 9:00. Got shit to do, wont be back out till tomorrow afternoon.

Seen 2 so far on national forest. 1 was a doe couldn't get a good visual on the second.

Just getting setup in my ground blind. I got a late start. My pop up took a beating during the night, so I was up working on it earlier. While there, I heard some grunting & a 4 pt came in past the ground blind & then over by me at 20 yards. Good luck!
I'm out. 2 bucks, 1 doe. Got pretty windy, plus I'm hungry and gotta poop. Again.

Has to meet the gas company at 11:15. Heard 2 separate grunts about 10:15. Saw 2 f does and a coyote at 10:30. Back in stand about 100 yards from this mornings.
This wind is killing me. Forecast is W to SW. I have W to NW, with an occasional SW push. It may be a hang and hunt sit tonight.
Different view tonight. First time hunting out of a deer blind since '05.

Got in around 2 for the first sit in this stand. Needed time to set some things up. Low impact entry tight to bedding. Nothing yet.

Been set up for 20 minutes or so. Nice quiet sneak in. I did have to stop and clean 10lbs of mud off my boots though. Nice and cool and didn't break a sweat coming in. Let's see what happens! November 1st, let's do this!
