I drove a truck for nearly 20 years and never developed an affection for coffee. Truckers tend to drink a lot of coffee, mostly bad I assume. In recent years I’ve become a bit of a coffee drinker. I’d like to think I’m even a bit snooty. I only drink a cup or two a week but it must be Dunkin Doughnuts brand, dripped through the paper filter of our cheap Mr Coffee. During gun season, at least for the opening day, I like to keep a Stanley thermos full of this high-brow brew in the truck for nostalgia. Dad always had one with him during gun season and it seems like I should too now that I’m all grown up and drink high-brow brew.
I add enough cream and sugar to my elixir to keep the manly folks out of my cache.

When my wife and I went on vacation to kailua Kona even the shitty gas station used 100% Kona coffee. A week later when i got home regular coffee tasted so horrible i actually quite drinking it for two weeks. Ruined me. Now I order it online from a shop in Kona.

I hope no one drinks that catshit coffee! They feed the coffee beans to cats then brew the catshit. Saw it on a morning show sometime back and there is a huge market for it...quite expensive also.😂🤮
I think I saw the same thing, somewhere in South America I think.

it's a rare occasion for me to leave the house without my thermos and insulated travel cup. Like Bowkills, when I'm working I usually drink the last of my coffee on the drive home from my job site. New coffee maker in place, brewing like a champ. I really enjoyed my pressed coffee yesterday. I'm going make it a point to make time for pressing coffee more often when I'm not running out the door early to work or hunt. maybe time to upgrade to a quality french press, too. have to make time for the important things in life. life is too short to drink bad coffee everyday.

I guess I could be a snob with my cups. My grandmother was an art teacher and got the whole family interested in a pottery in northern Michigan. so I drank my first cup from a $25+ Cup. I have my favorites from a cupboard full....

In the movie Bucket List I first learned about this coffee myself. There was a part in the movie where Jack Nicholson’s character(rich dude who boasted about drinking it all the time and how good it tasted) Morgan Freeman’s character(honest hard working family man with terminal cancer but very knowledgeable) let’s him in on his little secret during a relapse in the hospital. Very good movie but allergies my get to you in the end...😐

Here’s the clip

I like my coffee kind of like my beer: lots of it, all kinds of it, and the stronger, the better. I'm generally a Foldgers or Mickey D's kind of guy. I drink 6 cups M-F, 8-12 on the weekends depending on the type of hunting and weather. I like a splash of half and half. I can taste good vs. bad, but I'm not a snob. If it's fresh, hot, and strong, I'll drink it.

Back in November, I used the commercial Bunn we have in the office kitchen and brewed a pot. I got caught on a phone call, so it sat there for 20 minutes and got steamy hot. I walked in to grab a cup and it was gone. The lady that manages our Foundation was in there and I said: "Well, I guess I won't have coffee after all." She looks at me with an "oh shit" face and says: "Oh, was that yours?!? I thought it was burnt and dumped it out!" 😂 I told her that was the duck hunters brew and if she wanted some, she better be prepared to run a mile or two!
