Every time I asked, it was bad. So I decided to try the opposite this time!
Good luck to anyone trying to pull one off this last weekend. Just drove the almost 2 hrs to the cabin, 2 days to get it done. Hope somone pulls a late miracle.
Back at it in the AM at NASA with my uncle who got drawn. Archery only section but he was able to get a look at the sector this week and got our spots picked out. Hoping to out 1 more into the freezer. Gonna almost be 40*
I'd like to turn him loose but garrenteed as soon as he does that buck will run up and knock on the doorMaybe that bow just wants to start with a BB?
2 more long days and Sunday the sun's supposed to be out, that's good because that buck loves to show the first sunny day after a cold front or has so far.

Slow start on my side, about 13-14 so far. Only had one at 50 before she turned and headed towards the S towards the dome. Uncle is at 50+ seen as they run the E fence headed S towards the dome. With Orion in there, they reduced some gun sectors, the deer know this.

Around 11:30 I watched a 30+ herd about 40yrds across the west road in a restricted sector go thru. None decided to split and head E to us. Had a nice 8 and smaller buck hounding a doe at around 60 in our SW corner but they finally bolted due S....gone.
Relocated to the far N till pick up time at 4pm....not looking good lol.

I have decided to put my bow up. Too windy here. So, until the next season, folks. It's has been fun following along this thread. A great season for everybody. Rabbit season is until end of Feb. I might go ahead do that.
Yup, been over for me since muzzy season. The season started for me on the Athens property and ended on that property. Started with my boys and ended with my daughter. That’s a great thing! I don’t see me going after rabbits either.
First season of my life that I didn’t have my old man by my side. It had its moments but I had an outstanding season for the books with my kids and some of the best of friends a guy could ask for. (Wind today has my allergies going a little.)
