I checked a cam today had one show up with both sides then leave. Less the 4 mins later I know it was the same deer come back with no antlers. Two of us looked today an found nothing. I know there close. Just shows how hard it can be to locate them in thick cover. Doesn't help that he was small.

Bro and I worked most of the day on our farm blazing trails in prep for next season. Did some extensive walking looking for sheds afterwards to no avail. Drove over to lease near his place to yank my last two stands during the last hour or so of daylight. Before pulling last stand we drove the fields of my parcel and found one side of a deer Ron got pics of on the other parcel I have about a 1/2 mile to the east. Here are a few pics.

Shea and I made it out for a couple hours this morning. Still too much snow in the woods, and no sheds were found. We did find a dead-head. This is a buck that dropped off the cams before rut. At least we know where he went! And Shea caught another mouse.....

Matched set today in the rain

Thought Buddha found a match to the one he found last Monday. Now seeing them side by side I’m not so sure. They were within 50 yds of each other. Think it’s the little brother of a she’d heard found last year??

Three road sheds today all in the same field. Talked to the owner and he gave me the green light. Heading back now to try for the matches.

Went back and took my dad, we each found one side of a match set and he found a side to one I’d found earlier from the road haha. Total of 6 sheds in about an hour of looking. Like shooting fish in a barrel today which I assume is what Ricks analogy means haha. Doesn’t happen to often like that but I’m sure glad when it does.
