Agreed. We don't live with fleas anymore and that's the major reason it isn't a problem. However I think plague would be the least of our problems if 7 billion people were suddenly living in the same conditions as those in the 1400s.
@Dustinb80 did they say the work place of those in your area infected? Give any details at all about them?

My kids can’t comprehend how a couple rocks, sticks, and some woods can equal an 8 hour play day. It worked very well for me. Off to drop a couple trees before green up. That’s how I play now at 48.

There are plenty of other viruses that are deadly as hell. Some strains of Ebola have 100% mortality rates. Most are around 60%. The thing that makes those outbreaks easier to control by containment is onset of symptoms and death is very quick. People dont have long go spread it before they know they have it, and they die pretty quick freeing up room for more people to be quarantined. In rural areas where it has flared up it usually kills people quicker than it can spread, so it burns itself out.
With COVID people can be infectious for weeks without symptoms. And the demand on the medical system is high due to how slow it progresses. Other covids like SARS-1 and MERS have 15 and 35% mortality rates with similar symptoms, spread, and contaigen properties to the SARS-2 were experiencing now.

Rural King in Parkersburg was just a nor.al experience. Kroger in Belpre is on the fringe of chaos at the moment. They'll be out of meat by the end of the day. I only bought things in high supply, but did figure it was worth one more pass since we don't know how the supply chains will reach just yet. Let's hope inventory on consumables and non-perishable items were up due to the boom in the economy. Seen on older couple that looked overly concerned about being out and about. That's not a good thing to witness.

How long before we see the state or federal government imminent domain a hotel for patients? If you think about it hotels are just hospitals without the equipment. Separate rooms with a bathroom, closet, dresser, and TV in each room. A main entrance with the ability to lock all other entrances. It's a perfect makeshift hospital. Or will they go the gymnasium route with cots like we've seen elsewhere in Asia. Could hold more people but spacing and furnishing becomes an issue.

Welp the girl I’ve been seeing (and saw last night) was hanging out with a girl with a nasty cough two days ago. That girl just received an email saying she’d been exposed to someone with coronavirus. Shits moving fast, might be time to get off campus.

I think the CDC is full of shit. First of all an upper range that is 850% than the lower range, and a lower range that is greater than the number of confirmed cases is complete horse shit. The most talented people stay in the private sector and heres the result.
