@Wildlife
Denny you’ve been asking for known to us confirmed cases. My cousin in summit county tested positive. She works at a pharmacy inside a hospital and her husband is a fireman. Three guys at his firehouse were exposed as well, not sure if they tested.

Prayers,,,, sincerely sorry to hear!

Hopefully your cousin can get on the same drug cocktail mentioned in my previous posts pertaining to the NY doctor that had 100% success in treating his patients.

And then we have shit like this.

A Major Medical Staffing Company Just Slashed Benefits for Doctors and Nurses Fighting Coronavirus
Alteon Health, a staffing company backed by private-equity firm Frazier Healthcare Partners, will cut salaries, time off and retirement benefits for providers, citing lost revenue. Several hospital operators announced similar cuts.

Sharing an email that I just received only because I believe in what's good for the goose, is also good for the gander,,, especially with regards towards self protection of those that may be infected around you, which at this point, one could practically assume that most are within this country by now.

The baloney statement that came out of the mouths of those government officials directed towards fellow Americans "not to wear a mask because it doesn't protect you" made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever from the very beginning of this outbreak.

I say if you got them, wear them! Both a mask & gloves while within the public domain and/or in close proximity of other unknown individuals, especially for those with underlying health conditions and/or those that are above the age of 60.

Just saying...

HEALTH ALERT
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):
Guidance for Utilizing and Optimizing Personal Protective Equipment

April 1, 2020Update from Health Alert released March 25, 2020

Summary and Action Items
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided guidance on “Strategies to Optimize the Supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Equipment”, including eye protection, isolation gowns, facemasks, N95 respirators, and ventilators.
  • CDC has also provided guidance for “Frequently Asked Questions about Personal Protective Equipment”.
  • The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is releasing guidance and instruction materials (print and video) related to optimizing PPE for healthcare facilities developed by ODH, CDC, Emory University School of Medicine, and Nebraska Medicine. These resources are also available on the Ohio Public Health Communication System (OPHCS) site under Documents > EPI Issues > 2019 Novel Coronavirus > Strategies for Optimizing PPE.
  • ODH is recommending that all staff in long-term care facilities wear a surgical/medical facemask while working to avoid asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19 to residents and other staff. This includes facilities not known to be affected by COVID-19.
  • In settings where facemasks are not available, healthcare personnel (HCP) might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face.
Attached resources (also posted in OPHCS) are listed below (see links below this announcement):

1. Strategies for Optimizing PPE
2. Instructions for Reuse of Facemasks
3. Instructions for N95 Respirator Use
4. Printable Instructions and Videos for Optimizing PPE
5. PPE Contingency Planning

Contact

Immediately report all confirmed cases of COVID-19 to the local health department in the jurisdiction in which the case resides. To locate a local health department, please visit https://odhgateway.odh.ohio.gov/lhdinformationsystem/Directory/GetMyLHD.

For general questions related to COVID-19, healthcare providers and facilities should contact their local health department. Ohio local health departments should contact the ODH Bureau of Infectious Diseases at 614-995-5599.

Seems my work and union hall will do nothing to stop work or protect workers. Still no cleaning supplies provided. They just decided today that in order to comply with the 6’ rule, one of us will be driving our personal vehicles to the job site. No lay off option.

That's surprising about the lay off option....most of the trades my way said from the beginning stay or go your unemployment claim won't be denied Union or non Union....the trade union leadership has stayed out of the limelight on this I think just cause most of the membership wants to stay working....

And nobody will ever do shit about it. They're buddy buddy with Russia and produce probably 90% of the shit we buy here in the US. A Wal-Mart would be the size of a thrift shop if they removed every Chinese product.
I think they should be brought to their knees economically after we figure out a vaccine and a treatment, even if it costs the consumer. Russia is flying in medical supplies to the US and is already suffering from the oil glut so i’ll give ol vlad a pass for the time being.
