After all this is said & done, the United States of America most definitely needs to reevaluate who our real allies/friends are.

Covid-19: India bans exports of Trump-backed drug as demand surges

Wednesday, 25 Mar 2020

India’s government has banned exports of hydroxychloroquine as global demand surges for the malaria drug touted by US President Donald Trump as a potential Covid-19 treatment.
Exports will be limited to fulfilling existing contracts, while certain shipments on humanitarian grounds may also be allowed on a case-by-case basis, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

Trump has vowed to make the medication widely available to fight the pandemic, calling the drug a “game changer” in the treatment of Covid-19.
Though there is no conclusive scientific evidence that hydroxychloroquine can treat the infection from the novel pathogen, US hospitals and consumers have begun stockpiling the drug after reports of its efficacy in some small clinical studies – but not in others – began circulating online and in the media.

In India, the government is recommending healthcare workers take the drug regularly as a preventive measure to avoid contracting the infection while treating Covid-19 patients.
Cadila Healthcare Ltd, the world’s largest maker of an anti-malarial drug, has said it plans to boost capacity more than tenfold to meet the surging global demand.
Sharvil Patel, the Ahmedabad-based company’s managing director, said the company will increase production of hydroxychloroquine sulphate to as much as 35 tons, or about 200 million individual doses per month, from about three tons per month currently.
The rush to make this cheap and decades-old medicine easily accessible led the US Food & Drug Administration to lift import restrictions on three plants of another Indian pharmaceutical company, Ipca Laboratories Ltd, on March 20.

Tuesday, 31 Mar 2020

Hungary, a European Union member, last week banned the commercial export of hydroxychloroquine.

"As Hungary is one of the world's largest exporters of this ingredient, the protection and medical supply of the Hungarian population is now a priority," the government said..

If this company is indeed the current largest manufacturer of HCQ, globally, it doesn’t say much.

I worked for a US manufacturer of HCQ, and we routinely made over 35MT/yr in a 1000 gal. vessel. You can make a single batch in less than 24hrs.

I’ll bet someone in the US will resume manufacturing it soon. Someone will pick up the phone.

When you get home, strip in the garage, place immediately in the washing machine, take a shower, then worry you picked it up. That’s my personal grocery shopping routine.

Watch your back, somebody might sneak up behind you and cinch it a little lower and tighter. Should be in the clear by the time you make it out of the driveway though.

Are any of these sports players donating back to America in this time of need? We are the ones that made them millionaires.

Idea is stemming off Garth donating money and these free online concerts. Outstanding gesture from him and Trisha! Amazing that the realize how they got to be who they are and to give back when needed.

I’ve seen a few donate. Who’s that one basketball player you had a poster of in your car ? From Ohio really famous??

For the majority tho they are taking a knee! As usual.

Yes actually. I read somewhere that some athletes are donating to their home stadium employees. Especially baseball.

Something about getting a cargo plane full of supplies from Russia just doesn't feel right.

So one of our largest military rivals started an world side pandemic. Then our largest military rivals provides supplies?

I simply don't have that kind of faith in humanity.....
Isn’t this exactly what the US of A has done for years? Blow you up and then rebuild you.

Well just a little while back we saved them from a mass terrorist plot. I see it as a good gesture. Russia is right on Chinas border. They would rather be closer to us than China. Not only that we have a death grip on Russia little economy they have left right now. Granted Putin didn’t do for a happy moment it’s all strategy of course. But they got to give a little here and there.

Also who knows “tin foil hat” maybe China has something coming to them. Well they definitely have something coming to them on their economy as soon as this is over I believe Trump will put them on their knees. But if shit gets to bad in Russia I think Vlad May send them a little Something something.

I dunno i honestly feel like not everything is being told to us right now by our Government. A lot of what is happening just doesn’t make sense.

Yes, but when there is an actual military conflict. Not looking to go down that hole or what constitutes a military conflict.

While the USA focuses internally, our enemies are taking tabs on where we are retracting in other places in the world, giving them new opportunities. The game of chess is always in play and with the internal focus, shortage of critical supplies, and a difference in timelines of impact....the low hanging fruit is damn near touching the ground.
