Not scared or stupid all the major hospitals , Cleceland Clinic , Cole Eye Center, Mayo Clinic and etc mask up everyone who enters their facilities and all staff - guess i'll go with them not some 10 foot tall bad ass in the store - ya do what you think is right - its such a simple thing to do i can't figure why it even is a issue -
I have not been watching NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC for 2-3 weeks so I really don’t know all the negative fallacies that are happening....I feel great from a emotional standpoint.....simply because the media networks that I mentioned above wants the US population to live in fear and be depressed.....not going to bother me....I will not live in the fear and panic the news media has created....and everyone should do the same!!!!

Hey Blan..... You know what you can do with that mask of yours??? Keep wearing it.... I appreciate the fact that your taking this serious both for yourself and others.... I wear mine whenever I'm out and about both to protect myself and others... Shame on those that have no concern for others...And if they get sick... Well... They made their bed let them sleep in it...

Because we didn't try masks first, we tried shutdown first. We would have needed >80% participation. That ship has sailed.
I believe they do work (or at least help), but the question above was what I was hoping you address when you talked about conditioning. You described the "what" in your earlier post, but not the "why."

The conditioning isn't in wearing the masks. It's in the language they are using to get people used to wearing them. The new normal, is for the greater good, we're in this together,..... If you don't do this you aren't part of the solution, you don't care for the afflicted, etc
They are using language to persuade you to just listen to the .gov and not question it, not look at the facts with a open mind and potentially come to a different conclusion.
To me its very Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 reminiscent.
There is also the dichotomy of the health care provider hero worship movement. Do those in the hotspots deserve better than they were given, yes. Did we all see that most hospital systems have prioritized profits over having enough supplies, yes. But the operating rooms are what pay for a hospital to keep its doors open. There are and will be Hospitals closing their doors after this because they couldn't pay their bills because of the thin margins. Hospitals are being told they can't do their normal activities because of Covid, those patients never showed up and more the floors and rooms are sitting empty and the hospital is furloughing staff.
Let's look at what gov whitmer said when she extended the state up north's start at home until June 12.
Lower the chance of a second wave.... when was that ever the goal of staying at home. Changing the goal to something unrealistic and potentially not going to happen because a large number of the new cases in NYV were people staying at home. By allowing the manipulation of the end goal you allow for it to be an unending goal. Who gets to decide this? Who gave her that power? Since when did the head of the executive branch get to make law? (look into why dewine got his hand slapped by a judge here in Ohio and as former attorney General you might think he would know better)
continue to protect our neighbors and live one's.... appealing to your emotions rather than providing facts to support her decision. Disagree with me and you don't care for them you hateful individual.
continue to do our part by being safer at home..... that's all well and good unless you have mental illness, have an abusive relationship at home, or are part of the 66% of new cases in NY being found in people who stayed at home

What I can’t believe that hasn’t been talked about by anyone in the media is the motive China had in even developing this virus in the first place. Why would anyone(China and its scientists in this case) try turning an animal virus that has this amount of devastation into one that can spread so easily and expediently amongst humans? It’s akin to adding proteins and other BS to EHD virus/bug to spread from deer to humans and then human to humans. Now THAT is scary shit as it gets! Instead the left media( orators for leftist rich people wanting to change our country into a socialist communist one ran by dictators) are actually blaming Trump and siding with China and the WHO!

I heard a great quote from a concerned business owner in PA yesterday being interviewed on Fox News about needing to opening up America’s businesses sooner than later. In so many words he said, We all did what we were told to do which was shut down to flatten the curve, now we must stand and fight and reopen America’s businesses safely and smartly to flatten the fear. I couldn’t agree more.
I have a theory of my own, Ric. Whether they developed it or not, they definitely lied about it early on and let it spread. Trump is the only one to ever really have taken a stand against China and they aren't liking it. 4 more years of Trump would do a lot more damage. They need a "go along to get along" president back in office. To them, killing a bunch of their own and a bunch of us and plunging us into this situation is just another form of war with collateral damage.

Jamie.... No you don't deserve it, not do I want anyone to get it... But some people have this attitude that they are invinceable and could give a shit about others... That my friend is wrong and then when they get sick they look for pity from others... And just for the record... I've only met a few on here, but I'm the guy each and every one you could call at 3 AM on a cold wintery night and I'd get out of bed and come help... So excuse me, but when it comes to this virus, some people are just plain ignorant... I am starting work Tues. Its a swimming pool service company... So they got new computers in the vans and the owner wanted to give us a quick demo on them last week.. Everyone had on a mask except one asshole... He said he's not wearing a mask, HE HAD COVID 19 BACK IN 2016 THEREFORE CANT SPREAD IT.... So as you can see as the saying goes: YOU CANT FIX STUPID....
