Anyone Have Experience Working In Commercial Pest Control

I have trapped nuisance wildlife with the basic live traps, removed snakes from barns, garages, homes, took snapping turtles from ponds, and repaired attics where birds or bats were entering here and there for friends and family since I was a teenager. I’m thinking about starting up a part time critter getter business assisting homeowners and businesses around where I live and set traps after I get off work and checking them before work. Was curious if anyone here had any experience doing this type of business! Thanks!

I have a good buddy of mine that did this for a few years in Indianapolis. Made all his money on the repairs. Not much money in the trapping. The prevention measures and repairs is where it’s at. I’d go and help him on the big jobs.

We did a doctors office attic one weekend. Complete vac of all insulation and blew all new in. 10,000 sqft with 3 guys in 26 hours. Never stopped from start to finish. They closed Saturday at normal time and opened Monday morning at normal time. They paid the premium for a service like that. The trapping of the raccoons wasn’t the money maker. Prevention measures and repairs is the key to making the money. 👍🏼

Right now I’m laying concrete from 6am to 4-5pm everyday. So in that time frame I’m definitely stuck at work. So my plan was to speak with apartment buildings I have worked on where you can visually see there’s a problem and set traps out around 10pm and check them before I go to work. Then taking what you guys just told me do the repairs on the weekends or after work before setting traps

Go for it man! Be someone when you grow up. See a dream and make it happen. Make goals and see them happen. It’s something that most people won’t do themselves. If you enjoy doing it, go do it! Be someone! Just don’t half ass it. Either do it, or don’t.

Sir ,
Yes I do and I've been doing nuisance animal control for 23yrs in Oh and other states and I can tell you things have really changed and the state are making it harder and harder every year , I'll tell this much unless u commit to doing it full time its very hard to make a living even doing it full time its hard way to go , and please keep this in mind 90% of the work is summer & spring and the fur stinks then add in most states don't allow us to keep pelts off nuisance animals unless reg trapping season in it's not a glamorous job at all , I know it sounds fun and is ever boys dream that grew up loving the outdoors , Sir if u have a lot of money tucked away and u are confident that you'll be able to compete in your market then go for it but I'm warning u really hard to make a full time job outa it.

Thx
KM
