Joshs 2020 season

Working four 14 hour days this week so I can get out early on Friday to get back to ky for the weekend gonna get one more stand up and brush in 2 blinds on the food plots. Then I'll be back down Sept 4th to get ready for opening day. Here's a few pics from ohio and ky.

Put new threads on savannahs bow and she has been shooting about everyday. We are about ready to go.

2 more weeks and I'll be in the stand. We got a couple blinds set up on the food plots in ky Saturday and they are looking good. Weather looks good but I'm sure that will change.

All these bucks in ky have been on cam this past week. Were just hoping they keep their velvet until we get there thats our goal is a good velvet buck. But they still aren't getting a pass if they are hard horned. We will be headed out Friday morning to get down there and get settled in the weather looks real good if it holds out.

Pulled the cards today in ky. Its gonna get good if we can do our part. A couple of the bucks have went hard horned but I'm going in tomorrow night on a stud that's still in velvet. He's hit or miss on making it by in daylight but I think the weather is gonna get them up early.

A good buck snuck around me tonight my brother seen 13 today and my buddy saw 6 I only seen 2 all day but I would of killed the buck if he would have stopped.

Decided I might as well fill a doe tag this morning. The ice has been broke now its buck only unless I buy a bonus doe tag.

We ended up leaving today. Weather wasn't as cool as what the were saying last week. We will be back down there Oct 17 for the early muzzle loader season. My buddy had one of the good bucks come in at 20 yards but it was to dark last night to shoot are food plots are getting hammered 10 or 12 deer in them everynight.

Bastard...you got me. I just started a thread about getting excited and you posted....before dark. I kinda lost my shit for a second. You got me. I even yelled "BOOM" loud enough that I got yelled at. Bastard got me!

Went out today and checked the cams for the last time before season. Theres 2 that I will check around Thursday to see if a couple of the bucks are still working them. Savannah and I will be in a blind Saturday morning where a few good bucks are visiting in the mornings. Standing corn behind us and a bunch of oaks in the woods were looking into. My buddy will be up from Tennessee were gonna put him on a good 8 and 10 point that have been working a bean field about everynight but the beans are changing quick.

Let say this year hasn't started off the way I have wanted but were gonna make the best out it. Savannah shot a buck this morning at 18 yards and I mean it was perfect. I didn't think the deer would get out of site. After half the day grid searching and having barley any blood. I finally had to call it. The arrow was still in the deer and I'm not sure it got an exit hole the fletchings were buried and I think the had the hole plugged shes devastated but I assured her she did everything right. Without a good blood trail I'm certain he made it into the standing corn so I'm gonna get with the farmer and let him know. I'm 100 percent that deer is dead. I wouldn't have shot it any different. Tonight I get out to the property where a few big deer have been and get within 60 yards of my stand and I look out into the beans and there goes the big 12 doing mach 10 running to the next county. I hope it can only get better.
