I waited a bit before posting that & didnt pay attn to time. It was probably @ 1800 when she 1st came in. Stayed a bit then skirted off & around. This cam caught her as she was leaving my area, so it was light.

I'm up in a edge of a corn field in Seneca county.
I was out this AM after that cool down came thru & got skunked. I'm back out now since it's too damn pretty not to be.

Slow evening...five does, two squirrels and a red tailed hawk chasing one of the squirrels. Expected more after 1 1/2 days of rain.
We're in. @5Cent is popping his season's cherry from the Corner Pocket at our farm today. I have to be on a call at 9, so I'm on the ground close to the truck overlooking some thick bedding cover. I'm just here to glass more than anything. Be nice to see a good one come back here and bed below since it's easy to cut them off coming/going from here.

First sit in the “I-70” stand this year. It earned its name last year with lots of activity. Already had one go running by.
Feels damn good to finally be in a stand this year! I have missed these SE Ohio hills more than I thought.

Wondering if that yote didn't stroll along the creek towards me. Doe way up-wind of me has been snorting like crazy. There's deer moving around below me to my left, but it's too thick to see what's up. This place has gotten crazy over the years! I forsee and elevated blind here in my near future. Easy walk with a fail proof wind on morning hunts, especially northerly ones. Great gun spot.

Had an overgrown hayfield full of deer that I only caught glimpses of right after daybreak. The field just exploded and I thought I got busted on movement. Then I hear that I’m about to be run over and a button buck appears full speed ahead. Runs right past me,
200 yards to the other side of the field then right back to me. Right now he is grunting and chasing every deer in the field. Going to try to record him if he gets close again. Someone got a little extra early shot of the sauce this year.
