I had this deer in at 9:15 with several 40 yard shot ops but hoping he gets another year or 2. The long range pic from phone with its delay got him after he crossed open areas. Lol

Got down @9:45 a.m. and the temps are falling, plus wind directions changed.

Saw one more deer, a button about 8:30 a.m., within bow range.

Since I hunted pretty much all day yesterday and missed out on lunch, I was starving this morning and made me a venison, egg & cheese omelet and some more coffee. The venison is what was canned about 6 months ago and it's oh-so-good!

After I chow this meal down, I'll be heading back out to the North ridge with my climber now that I have the right kind of wind for it, out of the NW, near bedding. Then I probably sleep off this heavy breakfast for an hour or two.

Still in the tree. Had a spike pass, could here a deer blowing off and on for an hour. Finally seen them snd it’s a big doe trying to run a 6pt off here. He follows, she chases him away and blows. A unicorn crossed the other side of me and went to investigate. They all joined in w another doe and played cat n mouse for an hour

You seen Joe? You southern boys don't play around jumping in the sack.

Settled in on top of the North ridge in my climber in between bedding. Perfect NW wind for it. It's been a while since I hit this place. Only once before this season.

Left to right, in a clockwise circle, then middle last.
  • Looking SW towards creek bottom.
  • Looking North on top of ridge and field bedding.
  • Looking West.
  • Looking East on top of the ridge.
  • Looking NE, another creek botton before a big hill.
Somebody wake me up before prime time cause I'm in my recliner stand
