Congrats to the wife Cogz... What she shoot it with, 45/70????

Yes - she was planning to use the 20ga but at the last second opted for the 45-70 since she was bundled up. Said she was so pumped up she didn’t even notice the recoil. The lever froze on her so glad it has some wallop.

Yeah I had my shooter buck come in about fifteen minutes after that photo and tend that fawn at 42 yards. Never came down the bench though... bummer. Been hunting a couple good shooters here on this piece. It’s my first year as an Ohio resident, originally from Florida so a huge change in tactics and in pace.

Athens County...this morning was the most movement I’ve seen in a long time. Lots of younger bucks chasing. They won’t be chasing this one. Gotta be creative when you’re by yourself.
