Dave same day I called about it it went of market like WTF.... So I looked it up on Onx... Got owner's name then looked at prop.. backs up to Pike state forest or I was gonna mail the owner a letter and see what's up.... Going in the woods to check bear spot I'll send you address when I get back

Property right there doesn't normally see the market. Either Amish or the Arc of Appalachia buys it up.

Got home safely. Arrived around 5:15, unloaded the truck and unpacked. Hunting gear for tomorrow’s NJ opener all set out. Now time for a shower and dinner!

This mornings view...swamp in front and oaks behind.

Had a bunch of hens roosting to my right and these two Tom’s about 100 yards to my left. They were gobbling on the roost and the one on the left was actually strutting in the tree...he’d walk the branch ten feet then turn around and walk ten feet back. Never saw a strut zone up in a tree!

Nothing tonight. Baited my stand after the morning sit and came home and baited the stand behind my house. The stand behind my house it’s not unusual to see 40+ deer...usually in the mornings. That’s where I’m sitting tomorrow. Tonight I had the neighbor on the left working in his yard while his wife would yell something to him and he’d yell back. Quads in the field to my right and the neighbors behind me had cars in and out of the driveway..so not surprising I didn’t see anything. Tomorrow morning should be a different story.

Very slow start to the season...only saw two does this morning so far...very unusual for this spot.

4 does came in followed by 8 more around ten minutes later. Noticed that the field to my right still has standing corn in it...that’s going to make the hunting tough as they’ll probably bed there instead of the usual bedding area to my left.
Damn squirrel is still taking my bait away one cob at a time. Debating on bringing in a BB gun but small game is closed during deer week.

Just watched as 9 of them went back the way they came from....filtered right back into the corn about 300 yards away.
