Susan said she had a big buck outside his ears and heavy but didn’t shoot. We have good deer movement this morning. Now watching 3 does at 150 yards. So far us 3 have seen 20 deer. Five of them bucks. Hunter just changed stands to possibly cut off the big buck.

I heard deer blowing so they chasing. Susan just shot.

No luck finding the doe, no blood or anything. I did judo a deer right there but she ran off like nothings wrong and tail up.

Last decent hunt this morning.....maybe gonna get warm, well it’s 50 now. Gonna duck hunt in the morning and get a change. Hopefully Hb gets him a good one this morning where two good ones was seen yesterday morning. I’m looking for two cull 7’s and something big..... bonus buck perhaps. Dj should roll in to the camp tonight.

I guess it’s time for an update. Hunter hunted his stand yesterday evening and seen 9 does. Me snd dj hunted this morning seeing around 13 w two being young bucks. I’m in the stand this evening alone. It’s windy out of the SE and 66 degrees [emoji2373]. Both boys went counting around noon and Hb is back on public w a bow.

Seen 14 deer this evening, no shooters. Did see a 2 yr old 8 pt.

Rain coming in tomorrow morning around 8am. Making a wood duck hunt and will check the lines and chill at the camp.

Had a great wood duck hunt. We missed more than we killed but ended with a six man limit. Even come out with some jewelry.

Duck was banded in Kentucky 2019.

Well 5 of us went back to the same hole. I knew we shouldn’t but I wasn’t up to working hard for them. We killed 7 birds, I did my share of missing and never cut a feather.

Yesterday they were coming in 15 minutes before shooting time. Today they started to trickle in about 8 minutes after shooting time.

Weather finally came threw. 51 degrees, water gonna be over my bridge today as it rises the filling 2 days after the rain. Just me and dj hunting the property as Hunter wanted to go duck hunting this morning.

On a side note: I lost my father December 30th. He was 82 years old w severe dementia. It was his time but the lose hurts tremendously. He was my best friend and growing up I only dreamed of being half the man that he was. I will miss him dearly. He was my mentor for hunting as I cut my teeth duck hunting with him. Those memories will never fade. Funny that morning I had a killer duck hunt w my boys and friends, we even killed a banded bird
