One mo time.... No stand was involved... He was welcome to put blind up and hunt area... But please if something is found in the woods and it's not yours.... LEAVE IT THE F ALONE...

Stand I have in that woods has those short 3 ft. sections.... Enlarge pic and you'll see bottom one... When done I remove the bottom 2 sections so I doubt anyone will be found in it....

I see it like this: First come...first served. You beat me to it. You win... I loose. But don't cheat! Mine is mine and what is right is still right ...even if nobody else is doing it. And Wrong is still wrong ...if EVERYBODY is doing it!

In the long run we as outdoorsman are all in this together...What ever happened to respecting and helping each other instead of Fu#@ ing over each other... Maybe being nice to someone will create a new friendship for future hunts or whatever...Even if you never see the person again knowing you helped him should give yourself a nice warm feeling..

Short story, I've probably told it before, but I'll repeat it one more time..

A few years ago my brother and I were hunting opening day of Pa. rifle season. As we parked our vehicle, a van parked behind us. Out stepped a young man and we exchanged good mornings.. He asked where we were headed and asked if he could walk up the trail with us... Sure no problem. He broke off before us and we continued on... Around 9 am I shot a buck and began dragging him out... When I approached the area the young man departed us he saw me dragging the deer and came over to help... I told him get your butt back up there and get a deer, I have all day to get deer out plus it's all down hill... As I stood there with him I noticed his gun HAD NO SITES.. I said how the hell you gonna kill a deer when you can't aim the gun...His response was that he couldn't afford to fix gun as he was on hard times... Now just the night before I was looking for something and moved a brand new 4 power Redfield scope I bought and never used and probably never would have... So at that point I handed the guy a piece of paper and pen and asked for his address, I told him I was going to give him a scope... He also was in luck as I had mounts for his Remington 700... So I got home dropped deer off at the butcher and went home and wrapped up scope and mounts and put in the mail. Couple days later I get a call from the guy.... He was in total disbelief that I did what I said I was going to do.. He was happier than a pig in you know what...To this day I still get a warm fuzzy feeling over my actions... Oh last week I got my annual XMas card from him...

Good stuff right here

That dude had absolutely no right to mess with your property. We had some fools clear a couple of our cameras this fall. I suppose they think they deserve a medal for not stealing them. I can tell you this, if I had known when I was speaking with their buddy that they were clearing my cards at the time, there would have been a serious issue. It’s probably best I did not know at the time. I was courteous to the dude, even gave them an idea of where to start looking for stand sites.

Brock, your a good man helping people out... It's a shame that some guys could give a shit about their fellow hunter... Like you said good thing you didn't know as in today's world you would have been held accountable for your actions... We sometimes mention: " THE GOOD OLD DAYS ".... REALLY, WHERE DID THEY GO???

As they say...no good deed goes unpunished.
