I run high test pump gas (yes, with ethanol) in my saw. Oil is Stihl synthetic 50:1 mix. Sounds like a fair price on the splitter. New, it’s close to $2k.
And @ 71 you’ll want a battery operated one by then for less weight, and less operating time.... You’ll need too recharge before the sawThinking like J....if I got 21 years out of my last saw...the one I have on backorder; should be the last saw I need to buy. I’ll be 71 when I need another. Fugg that!
Ha! Just bought one of those for branching and trimming. And @ 71 you’ll want a battery operated one by then for less weight, and less operating time.... You’ll need too recharge before the saw

Was English his first language?I hate sheetrock work. Threw it out there on a local FB group. $150. Had a guy in today to do the initial bedding.

Not happy at all, but I abused her breaking 3 new plots in the last 13 months. Time to tear into the gear box sub-assy and hope it's just the chain. Still have power/motion forward and back, but no tines spinning.
Was hoping a shear pin or coupler somewhere I couldn't locate but a quick call to DR to confirm how not to void the 2yr warranty would work, yielded different results. Hats off to them on awesome customer service in this environment. Essentially the machine is built around the gear box (other side of machine in pic below) and they have none in stock until July....if I'm lucky. So the tech said disassemble if you are able and if you can source parts locally, they'll reimburse. Local dealer is 3 months for warranty work
