Anyone know what this snow/cold snap will do to the morels? Was hoping to look for some this coming weekend and next week while turkey hunting in Vinton county.
If you look in the pictures of spring, I think it was last year or the year before I picked some after the snow. This isn't as uncommon as it feels every year.
Fingers crossed our frost this morning was light at 27 degrees. The apple trees around the house didn't appear to have frost on or near them for that matter, just the big open areas in the yard. All the flowers were still tight last night when I looked at them so hopefully they will be OK.
