King bloom is open. This is when a lot of apples froze last spring

My apples are starting to bloom. The snow doesn't scare me. The frosts seem to be more damaging. Not really dropping below zero for our snow tomorrow night.

How does this hurt you? I'd imagine you are already cleaned up and put up already and in mowing mode. Or with the temps, do you just let it melt? Make hay while you can?

Rain and snow falling. I packed my tools up before lunch. Guessing it's an early out. Won't break my heart!

Im betting this wiped out the soft/hard mast. Many oaks on the property had just set their male caskins, which are not cold tolerant. Cherry were in bloom, etc

Thinking the food plots will be a bigger draw this fall. been below freezing for 5-6 hours now... they are done.
