Received tag in the mail a couple weeks ago.
started shooting the recurve daily.
Got a text from my BIL a couple days ago. He said it has been an extremely dry summer up there. He said there is very few berries or acorns to be found. Said it should be a great baiting season.

He told me to pick up a can of Nose Jammer. He said he would be using it around the bait sites to get the bears use to it. So I should use it while hunting as well.

I've this before.... Go to the supermarket and get a few bottles of Anise in the baking isle... Saturate a rag and hang in a tree limb...

That licorice smell carries in the woods... I first learned about it up in Canada when the guide taking me out stopped and bought a bottle of anisette and put it in a spray bottle and on the way in was spraying trees... Smelled like a licorice factory...

The red dot up close to Canada is where we will be. They will be heading up there this weekend to start baiting.

Look there's one there already... When's the trip planned... If there's cell service there have them put a cell camera up so you can see what's going on....
