Kinda bitter sweet. Blew out a big buck I wanted to kill due to a doe tagging me. Killed the culprit of blowing out said big buck. She didn’t go 20. She came back around at last light and I let her have it. Crazy quartering shot. Entered about three inches in front of left rear ham, exited right where it was supposed to! Back at it again with my youngest boy on permission tomorrow morning.

You can think or say all you want about contest. But they really put you in front of people that you'd normally never meet. A simple weigh in turned in to a few hours of laughter and story sharing. This part is priceless

All settled in. Wind was a bit too fucky for my preferred spot. Went to a low impact backup stand. It didnt stop me from being noisy and now sweaty as hell

Cloud cover put me in the tree about an hour before shooting light, all settled in. Thinking about joining the die killer club if an opportunity presents itself. Congrats to all that have gotten it done.

I bought this Assenheimer from Switchitter. Mason met up with him yesterday and brought it home to me last night. Got it all dialed in about midnight, so here we are. I’m on the ground, Mason is in the fence row. Good to have my boy home to hunt.

Mason has passed a 130” 10 pt and seen six others. I’ve seen squirrels. I’m in a thick spot and can’t see too far.
