Sitting in the middle of two bedding areas. Limited shots due to how thick it is. No action yet. Put my cousin in a strip of woods between the road and crp. Never hunted it before but thought it had potential. Wanted him to take the climber but he refuses to get in a stand. Anyways he just text me that a giant came in behind him up to 10 yards but he was pinned down and got winded. Lol said he thinks he might puke he’s so sick over it.

Personally I love to hunt spots like that the thicker the better. I think some places i sit would would drive a lot of people bonkers due to the ability of not being able to see shit till it’s damn near on your lap.👍

I made an adjustment. I knew these bucks were using this area to bed in but I slipped in a bit further up the bench about 100 yards…. Stumbled upon some more fresh sign. Let’s hope I have a nut picture tonight

Three yotes and six does this morning. The mature does I’ve seen so far in KS are absolutely enormous. Warmed up and have a SW wind so got in early on another spot where i had to cut a limb. Been in about an hour on the NE side of bedding and cut corn, on a creek bank with my wind blowing out to a pasture. Couldn’t really ask for more other than a temp drop which is coming. The deer out here put in some serious miles at night. I watched those does com into bedding at 1025 this morning across big ag fields.

It was a German shepherd sized deer but I saw a deer!!!!

If nothing else, I didn't get skunked, this is a nice observation stand, and I can swap cards on way out. And I might have killed my biggest buck out of this tree in 2014. So naturally, it is a favorite spot.

Settled in. Ate so much food earlier I put my self in a nice little coma.. Sitting same spot as this morning it’s always been a better spot morning than evening. .. I have saw some dandies in evening here still tho its more of a morning spot.

Ha just heard a grunt and some commotion across hill 🤷🏼‍♂️Still a lot of underbrush leaves so couldn’t see

See what happens not expecting much. I wasn’t this morning tho either and it was damn good.
