Update on Babe.
We met up with longtime buddy who hunts next door and took up tracking from impact site. Tough one cuz lack of blood and also in maple woods where everything looks like specks of blood. Eventually found blood 100 yards after being hit as he entered 25-30 acre field. No blood found anywhere! Heavy frost and little dark red weeds in this 10” tall pasture field. Walked perimeter checking for beds and blood and wouldn’t you know, I found 1 large bed by itself on far end of field about 400 yards across but no blood in it but I did detect a slight bile smelling odor in the breeze blow from the woods, I met buddy and we pulled a camera he had over a small pile of corn near there then we slipped out of there and met back up with Ron and he put card in his card reader and Babe was on it! From 4:51 till 7:17 this morning he stayed near this pile munching on it while slightly hunched up. This was crucial of course cuz we now how evidence of the entry and exit holes and have a time line.
Our game plan is to give him till this afternoon then go back and scan with our eyes and hope to find him expired and if not try and get another arrow in him.

Had a slow few days lately but had 3 doe and two small bucks make their way through around 9am. Had to leave for a bit. Hopefully back out later.

Lunch ate and riding it out until dark. No sense in moving as this spot is just as good in the evening and I feel like there'll be more cruising to see here tonight. 6 hours until we know if that was smart or not.
Doe or small buck just meandered through 100 yards out. Deer #11.
Young buck from this AM just rolled through nose down, mouth open and looking for love. Wind is a erratic, so the Evercalm paid off again.

Six sits here at the local spot and I haven't seen one deer. Heading back to Williams in the morning.
I found through Google that goat does can be bred while nursing or being milked. I really thought one of the gurus here would have an answer.

13 does and 3 bucks so far but no shooters...no chasing yet either all the does and fawns still together. These farmers are slow I think they went to breakfast and never came back. Lol

Damn Kevin! You’re thick into them this season! Saw 3 bucks this morning as we set out to track Ron deer. Lots of action this morning and I hope it continues tonight. Set up here behind our cabin cuz the wind is perfect for it. Hope to see some chasing, GL all!
