Not a zero turn, but hey, no other thread here stay on subject so here is my grass cutting machine. I took these pics last summer after a clean-up and blade sharpening. It’s a 2012 and has just under 70 hours. My yard is about 1/5 acre to mow and I can get it done in 12 minutes with this thing!! . Got it in 2014 with 4.8 hours on it. Guy was selling it on Craigslist at the end of that summer, so I low-balled and got it.

The handles are easily adjustable on the badboys , as soon as I barely pull mine back it starts moving. I can do both sticks and drink a beer at the same time mine might have been adjusted tighter from the factory . I'm not a tiny guy by any means lol

The tires on my saved my ass a few times from getting stuck but I can't zip around turns when it's dry either or it will rip the sod straight off the ground lol

For me, nothing besides cost when considering brand. Size is all about what you prefer. I prefer the bigger motor because I hate being limited by power. Being stuck today while mulching leaves and I had very little bog down. I also like the bigger motor so I can idle down if the wind is blowing the clippings on me. I have a hill in my yard also. So the extra power was a little more than a want in my case. Being that I've owned both the Kohler and Kawasaki motors, I didn't see an advantage in the cost increase of the Kaw. The Kohler was also on sale...so that was probably the real reason I went with the Kohler. Lol

I came from older wheel horses and simplicitys so I've always preferred the Kohler's myself

Yeah, they're all pretty good these days. They have to be to keep up with the market IMO.

With a nice flat yard without many leaves and such, a lower HP motor would be just fine. Then it would be about brand preference.
