Back at it again today. At least 3 Across and up the hollow on the roost. Shut up when they flew down. I’m at the very corner of my place trying to convince them to come my way. Not sure they can even hear me. A hen did sail across over my head but she wasn’t with them.
I need to start getting a field ready to plant alfalfa later so if they don’t want to play I’m not going to overstay my welcome. We haven’t had a long beard on cell cam since last Monday.

Heard 4 early they are henned up pretty good I am tucked in by a big pine tree and have one gobbling a little,hoping to get him in bow range.

500+ gobbles. All on neighbor. At least 4 toms and a group of jakes. Wouldn’t shut up long enough for me to call. Most headed away. One might still be close. All quiet now.

Just saw a lone bird across the field. Couldn’t tell what it was but it did have a large body. Pretty far off and don’t think it heard my calls.

Been playing with maverick and goose all morning. Jakes are below them. A bird came in silent from below and behind. The head looked like a Tom but could never see his breast/beard. Had him at 20 yards. Probably Tommy Two Beards.

I cock blocked him! She walked all the way over to him and when she was 3-4 feet infront of him I let out with a couple of cutts….she didn’t like it and we argued. Pulled her away from him. He walked all the way back around to my left. She went to my right. Now he is hung up 100 yards from me. He’s not very vocal now…I really have to string a few cutts together to get a response. At least he didn’t get any pussy on my watch!
