We are putting a big addition on that airport. I guess that jobsite looks like a bomb went off....we didnt get any 100mph here but 60s at the start id say with hell of a thunder lightning show. I think i fell asleep before it was over.

I opened the back shades as the wind started to whistle thru the screens and the thunder rolled in the distance. Within 10 short minutes we went from the start of the movie 'Twister' scene to sheets of rain blowing sideways like a hurricane and both back motion lights triggered. Between those 2 lights and the lightning show, it didn't get below daylight in the back 75yrds. for another 45 minutes. Was cool and somewhat scary at the same time.

Well my deer in the freezer just got more expensive. Had to buy 2 coolers and ice. I hate the city. Basically Columbus has no power. Had it 24 hours after the storm….apparently our grid is a POS.

Or a big ass tree took out a transmission line. And them poor fuckers are working 16 hours shifts in this heat trying to get it back up and running for you. Projected to be back up and running by midnight tomorrow.

Those in our company not working this repair are only limited to 8 hours because of the heat and on standbye to replace the guys that fall out. We will also take over as it fails trying to come back on. Because everyone's freezers and AC units kick on all at the same time. It'll find the weakest link and then fail.

Not saying the grid isn't shit, but those of us working on it are doing our best. At the rate Columbus is growing, expect more of this. Sorry if this hit a nerve of mine. Those are my fellow teammates out working on this and I feel for them. As they fight the extreme heat, bugs and mud. Rant over

Working outside in this heat and humidity sucks, I have been trying to get get up at 5:30 and work til about 11, then do some inside stuff and maybe some outside stuff from 7:30-dark. Man I feel for you guys working in the heat of the day.
That’s been my goal this week. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened. Pulled stumps yesterday and getting my buddies trailer road ready for a trip tomorrow, today. Probably lost 10lbs this week.

None taken. It ain’t the guys who are busting their asses trying to fix it, it’s the geniuses who planned the damn thing in the first place in my opinion. Engineers have to plan for this shit but apparently they did not.
