Copy. Basically what I said except your telling us it will be the rest of the season. I had mentioned not wanting to be whoever Bama plays next. I suspected they would come back swinging. Then again, some years it isn't there. You have talent. Just not the right team chemistry. All the talent in the world doesn't guarantee an undefeated or championship level team.

Agreed. The gem is there but they just don't have the cut and polish to be a diamond yet. Fundamentals are seriously lacking. Like don't commit holds or false starts on key plays. The secondary obviously needs work. Definitely not a championship-caliber team when it comes to fit and finish. We'll see what adjustments they make.

They aren't alone. Georgia won big over a nobody Saturday. They have shown some vulnerabilities. Wolverines and Buckeye are undefeated but have not been perfect. I "want" to say the Buckeyes are the dominant favorites right now but I cannot. All of the "top teams" have some work to do. It will be interesting to see where this season ends and who is on top.

I honestly don’t know how good our Buckeyes are just because they haven’t played a legit top ten team yet. They haven’t been behind enough to see how the leaders on the field step up or the coaches play calling and time management plays out. IMO, Bama proved they have what it takes by playing a top 10 team in a very hostile environment being behind 28-7 but having what it takes to almost win in the final minute. Nobody loved seeing them lose more than me but the coaching staff, Young/Gibbs and defense almost pulled it off.
My question for the Buckeyes is if they were down 28-7 playing in the Big House, at Knoxville or Tuscaloosa does Stroud have everything Young has to bring the team back? How well does the coaching staff call the plays, make adjustments and manage the clock and can the defense stop the scoring till the offense gets going.
Every teams record AND the records of the opponents they’ve played speaks volumes to me. I’ll refrain from getting too excited till I see how we do in THE GAME.

We kind of have a mini playoff right now in the top 4. OSU has to play Michigan and Tenn has to play Georgia. Clemson and Bama waiting in the shadows.

This loss does not hurt Alabama's playoff chances at all. They still control their own fate in their division, which will put them right in the SEC title game for either a rematch with TN or a matchup with UGA. They win out, they're in. Plain and simple.

I agree. I think some of these regular season games are going to be better than the playoffs. Alabama can't afford a second lose either...they gonna come in looking for heads to split!

I'm a big fan of what Michigan is building up to again. As always it will be a good game against OSU. Who knows what we'd look like against the SEC

I agree on all accounts. I think Michigan is good. I think OSU is good. I think they'll both be undefeated coming into their matchup. I have no idea how either of them would fare against Bama/UGA/TN/Clemson/UCLA (yea, I said UCLA). Given the past few seasons, with Bama running OSU out of the building in a title game and UGA doing the same to Michigan last year, there's no way to know they're on that level until they prove it.

Hey, Chip Kelly has brought UCLA back into a legit talented well oiled machine again. Dudes brought in some talent. IMO

@Redhunter1012 I am glad I was sitting down when I read this. 🤣. I would have fallen over reading it if I were standing up.

I'm happy to see a wide open slate at this point in the season. Watching one team dominate EVERY single week is only fun for the fans of that particular team. Still a ton that can happen. Should make for a great second half of the season.

I'm normally on Joe's side in this statement I'm about to make, but I think OSU would easily put up 50 on BAMA. Not sure if OSU's defense could hold Bryce Young under 50, but I'd bet on the buckeyes in that one. BAMA's secondary is just godawful

I won't disagree with that statement. The secondary needs a lot of work, especially against the pass. But young and that offense would put up points also. I mean we just saw two teams put up 50 points each in a game that was decided by a field goal in the last 2 seconds of play. How often does that happen. Lots to work on but I don't believe we've seen the last of Bama this year.

I suspect not. I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm guessing under Saban, Bama has won more NC's with 1 loss on their record than undefeated. He is the GOAT and he assembles all star staffs that can coach
