Been in the stand for a half hour or so. Seems wrong… November 2nd and here I am in a T-shirt. Oh well. The wind is slowly trying to turn the direction I need it. Decoy is out front. Let’s hope a real slammer is on he feet early and is in a mood to whip some ass.

Sitting on creek butted up to corn field down in a valley on the ground behind ghost blind this could be fun!
Hang in there guys. One of my biggest bucks was fighting in front of me while I had no other shirt than a T shirt
First deer just entered the field. A lonely button buck. He better not get too close. I’ve got a week’s worth of frustration to relieve myself of. 
I'm on stand again hoping to break my deerless streak. Farmer north of me is half way thru picking 60 acres of corn. That can't hurt anything. Squirrels are barking excitedly in the distance in 3 different directions. Hope something shows up.

Morning hunt ended being a zip, other than I smoked a fat ass woodchuck at the same yardage I missed that buck at - go figure. Nothing like throwing $45 through the woods at a giant rodent lol. Have to work the next couple days, but I don’t mind it with these temps. Good luck to anyone out tonight.

Much more action tonight, 4 doe/fawns and a 2.5 yo ... come on big daddy...
Seeing good movement here so far. But the bucks are keeping the does pinned inside the timber.
Saw two more bucks toward the end of legal light. There’s a doe or two close by that they must be interested in. I think I’m gonna have to hunt the bad wind direction tomorrow. Sometimes ya gotta risk it to get the biscuit.
4 does tonight within shooting range, all got the pass hoping some horns were following....notta.

After seeing all the activity and kills tonight I wish I wouldn't have said screw it for the evening hunt lol
Always gonna happen no matter what. Lol. Just have to focus on what you are seeing and just keep others in the back of your mind. With that said, there was a quarter moon this evening which is an absolute killer time to hunt. Warm weather can negate its daylight impact though.

Ended up seeing 5 does not being bothered and wideload, our 20” wide, 4 year old 9 point. He wasn’t really looking for does, appeared to be just checking out his turf.

Was an exciting night but the right deer didn’t show up!
Kept my deerless streak alive! Not an accomplishment to be proud of. I did get cell pics of deer at my other stand location tho. Going to sit there tomorrow night and probably get skunked again. While on stand tonight I was reminiscing about the last 35 years of archery hunting that I've done. I can't think of more than maybe 1 buck I've killed in all these years from November 1st to the 3rd. November 4th is usually the turning point when the switch really flips. Be patient boys its about to cut loose.
Likes like another foggy start. Light switch turned the bucks on, they were out running. Good luck to those going out !

Awesome cold morning hunt coming up today. Looks like that cold front is still coming in the 7th, good luck today gents... I can smell blood, somebody is gonna connect w this SE breeze.
