Family hunting farmer told me today he has had bucks locked on does numerous times while shelling corn. Ive only viewed one pair in the open on the extra long way to work this week. Im working my ass off to be able to hunt alot and enjoy some cool days in the later stages of rut i guess. Still far to much corn on around my house.

I'm thinking about hanging an anniversary banner in my woods. Maybe that'll do the trick.
I think you'd have better luck buying this and wearing it 😂

I honestly don’t understand some of these reports…. I am starting to think up here temperature doesn’t matter but moon phase is best way to pattern deer in November. Bucks are all over in daylight hours bumping and running does. Seen multiple locked pairs of bucks and does here, going to and from work in daylight hours for the past 4-8 days. Most of which have been 2.5/4.5 y/o deer from what I can tell roadside! Tomorrow is the last day of work then back to the rutcation. Hopefully I boost moral with an IKS thread within the next 10! Good luck to all. Report comes from eastern guernsey to central guernsey.

Deer density also plays a huge role. You see more deer on one sit than I see all season.

Licking county... Some chasing at end of legal light, but nothing major.

Belmont and Muskingum have been slow starters for me this year, but rubs, scrapes and cams are showing some better sign.

You're hunting an area that is the exception to all rules. You're truly blessed to hunt a part of the world that's an anomaly in contrast to most of the state/country and in the best possible way, you're the outlier around here. When you have world class ground with one of the best deer herds in the country, you're going to experience things much differently than the rest of us.

Things should start to get better here next couple days.

Saw about 15 does in field all laying down 0 bucks. Just not time yet in my neck of woods drove 30 miles south of Cambridge (77) yesterday saw 5 deer total hit. 2 small bucks 3 does.

Also drive 78 off 77 all the way to Gloster yesterday only saw 1 deer hit.

Small ones are wondering around acting stupid.

Big ones moving last light but it’s not all hell has broke loose type situation.

I’m sure there is a doe or two in heat

Best of luck to all.

Guernsey county.

Had a 2.5 year old 6 point dogging does tonight and was well within range of where I'd have expected another buck to hear it and come investigate. Nothing. I maintain we're a week behind last year. Yes, I know it happens at the same time, but I'm not convinced it can't slide a week either side of November 7 based on conditions. Even the sign I'm seeing says Halloween and not end of the first week of November.
