It was a toss up for me between Toyo and Falken. Ended up going with the Falkens and, one year later, I have been very impressed. Especially with their rain and snow performance in my 2wd truck. They’re my first set of A/Ts so I don’t have anything to compare them to but they are very quiet as well. I was expecting more road noise.

These are all 10ply reviews.

I had a set of Yokohama Geolander ATS. 2 out of 4 tires had issues that Discount Tire wouldnt let me leave on!! My F150 was shaking pretty bad. I would not buy Yokohama again due to this.

I replaced them with BFG AT KO2. Wore great, rode nice. A bit noisy and it felt like it held the truck back.

Just got a set of Michelen Defender M/S. The name is confusing because they are the streetiest of the 3! GREAT road handling, next to no noise and the truck glides.

None of these have been tested in snow. I only recently moved to a 4 season state!

Not that we get tons of snow down here, but my Michelin M/S did great in the snow.

How do they do in mild off road stuff? Wet grass, dirt road, Off camber muddy stuff? Not planning on off roading anything, but if I need to back a trailer or take off on a damp incline loaded. . . It would be nice to not have to put her in 4x4. Lol

Not good in wet grass, if I remember, ok in mud, I took my mother back to look at something on the farm and it was muddy, I sunk in a good 8-10 inches but kept them spinning and did fine.

Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.

Got new tires put on today. Thanksgiving sales buy two and get two free. It was either Bfg KO2, Toyo open country AT3, or Cooper discover AT3. Toyo were out of stock, so either BFG or Cooper. Done some research. Come to find out that both brand are similar except cooper are more quieter than bfg, not as rough as bfg , plus more mileages Cooper (65,000) and bfg (50,000). So, I went with Cooper to give it a try.

I did something I haven't done before: I bought some Goodyear tires. Our F350 has been eating tires. These were tire/rim take offs. Good ratings. Adventure with Kevlar. Snow ratings and durability were good ratings. We shall see.

Bought the cheapest radial tires I could find on-line with free shipping the other day, and new OEM replacement steel wheels to get rid of the original 22 year old ones. The white F250 superduty pickup is scheduled for them to be put on first thing Monday morning with a new wheel alignment and the tires spun balanced too.

It'll be nice to have some new fresh rubber on my old deer transporter again...

Looking good BC! Where did you find that sale? I’m in need of a new set of tires too.

Finally put new rubber on the truck today. Seeing how Dave and others liked them (we looked at a few brands) we decided on the Toyo tires. They look pretty damn nice!

Have to say after 2 trips to pick up/drop off Allen and a trip to the farm in Ohio and back we are more than happy with the Toyo tires. Very little road noise up to 75 mph on most roads. They grab very well off road, up and down our bigger hill at the farm. Next to no slipping at all once in 4wd there. Plus they flat out look great on the truck. So far they are a great choice for us.

Let me know what you think of these. I was looking at putting those on my truck as well this spring.

All set!

Just under 1k for everything;

new tires & wheels,
wheels balanced, & new valve stems,
and an alignment plus labor.

Not too shabby and should be good with the new rubber until sometime the truck surpasses the 300k mark in mileage. Currently at 258k.
