I believe we're good also. The tornado warning just went away. Now we are getting pounded with heavy rain. Careful to all of you N, NE of us!

Deer at the main feed site while tornado sirens going off.

Spoke too soon. Since my last post, we had another tornado warning and we lost utility electric power momentarily three times. The winds are whipping real good right now, and we do have debris on the ground already from that. The utility electric power continues to go in and out every time the wind gusts reach max speeds.

Anyhow, I captured more of this wild weather storm front passing through, and I believe it's much worse than that last one from the other day too.

House is down to 60*. Slept great!
Same here. No outage though, just busy with project and failed miserably at filling boiler yesterday morning then forgot about it. First time I’ve ever let it go out. Going out to start fire after breakfast.
Hope you guys get power restored real soon Dave!

I got rid of the multiple video clips from yesterday's tornado warnings we received. I wanted to include what was documented and place them into my YouTube journal playlist, which is available to everyone.

It was down right scary a couple of times yesterday evening and I wasn't quite sure what to truly expect from yesterday's crazy weather, but I knew the day was going to challenge my stress level a tad, and it surely did. I too slept well last night after I went to bed sometime after midnight and the wind was still whipping pretty darn good still too. Woke up this morning and have a fair amount of debris to collect today and get into a burn pile.

Anyway, like I said, I got rid of the other video clips that I shared yesterday on here but included them into the video below for yesterday evening's storm warnings.

Hope you enjoy!

People are getting moving and the text are coming in. Gonna head to work to grab a generator and a saw. Lots to keep the boys and I busy today! I foresee some drinking and lots of laughs and fires today. Probably find something to grill as well. These things ain't all bad folks. Brings people together. I will likely grab a shower somewhere too in my travels thus morning. Not sure when theyll get to me but i need to get this sump pump running.

We got a lot of wind up here last night in Pa along lake erie, but little snow. Sounded like the hubs of hell out there in the night. No damage that I know of but the metal roof sounded like the screws were about to pop...

I have a 3 way generator in the garage with natural gas plumbed to it. I also have a hundred pound propane tank in the corner just in case. I'd like to replace it with a hundred gallon tank actually. These burn much cleaner and I don't have to store much gasoline that way. Regardless I have 5 five gallon cans I keep filled with ethanol free, plus every tank on every gas engine is filled with ethanol free seasoned with Pri G.

My 2 sump pumps have battery back ups on them with AGM 1100 amp hour batteries. I always have a drop in sump pump with battery back up ready to go also since they only fail when you need them the most and all the stores are sold out...

A note of warning on Ethanol free, when you buy it don't just pump it in and think you are GTG. Particularly if the same hose is used for another grade such as E85 for example. Imagine buying ethanol free and putting it in a gallon or 2 can and the last guy pumped e85... You are then getting about a third gallon of ethanol give or take. I always pump 1/2 gallon into my vehicle before filling my can on those multiple use hoses. OR I frequent the places with a dedicated Ethanol free hose. A simple way to check your ethanol free gas is to put an ounce of water into 6 ounces of what you think is pure ethanol free gas, then shake it up good and let it settle for 15 minutes. if you got more settled at the bottom then 1 ounce you know you don't have ethanol free. This is a particular concern when trailering your boat for example.
