Sounds like a rewrite of the script the CEO read. I wonder how much AB pressured/paid that distributor to say that? They're still pretending like it was some big misunderstanding and the media blew it way out of proportion. So yeah you stupid Neanderthals, come on back.

We at Bama Budweiser, an independent wholesaler, employ around 100 people who live here, work here, and our children go to school here. "We do not, and as I said before, did not support this issue involving Dylan Mulvaney. There was one single can made. It was not for sale and wasn't properly approved. As a result, the Bud Light brand has new leadership. Dylan Mulvaney is not under contract with Bud Light. The videos you may have seen are Mulvaney's own social media posts that went viral and many web-based news outlets have distorted the story. You deserve to know the truth, and life is too short to let a couple of individuals decide what you can eat or drink or spend your hard-earned money on. And remember, making friends is our business, not enemies."

The only thing missing is “chicken fried” playing in the background…..

Sales are coming back up because it's graduation season. I would like to see it compared to last year at this time. It's hard to not grab a few cases of the biggest pile when it's on sale for a party.

It's also hard for most so called "Americans" to make a decision and stick with it. See NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, ESPN, Nike, Dicks Sporting Goods, etc... The list of companies who were never punished for their actions because of the lack of balls in this country is endless.

Oh I'm sure that will cause great handwringing and compulsive virtue signaling from the Frances. I'm sure we will need to fully encrypt the communications channels to protect all (one particular) drivers for their immediate personal safety. Of course ASSCAR will have to have full access to the encrypted conversations. Also for everyone's immediate personal safety.

Just saw that also. I've been wondering how they came up with that seemingly light sales are down 27% number. I wonder if that was just sales to distributors.
How else would they be able to track it? Once it goes to the distributor, she gone. Officially someone else's product and no longer production.

I mean it makes sense but I always knew something was fishy with that "sales are down 27%" statement.
I agree. The 23-25-27% or whatever number they were giving seemed low. Just left the wife's brother and SIL house. They had Coors Light. They were always Bud Light, Mich Ultra, and Corona drinkers. It is pretty wide spread.

I will give Bid credit though. Supporting their distributors is a stand up move. Going to cost them a crap ton.

Nothing in big business is done without an angle. AB is probably trying to avoid a class action from their distributors. AB is responsible for advertising and brand promotion, distributors pay a hefty price for AB to handle that. The distributors have pretty good grounds for damages, AB execs already admitted negligence by saying they didn't approve the ad campaign. Negligence + Damages = Grounds.
