Did I read that correctly? $700.00 for 30 minutes of air time and that's it? It cost you $700 every half hour? Surely not
Rechargeable lithium batteries. Thats the cost to buy them, but get many uses from each battery.Did I read that correctly? $700.00 for 30 minutes of air time and that's it? It cost you $700 every half hour? Surely not
How long does it take to get a full charge on them, Seth?Rechargeable lithium batteries. Thats the cost to buy them, but get many uses from each battery.
I'm not sure the exact time for each battery but I have a charger that charges 8 of them at a time, and I can keep recycling and charging them as I fly (with a small generator). As the last battery is used the first one is ready to go again. It takes 2 batteries at a time so you can do a hot swap without ever turning the drone off.You could fly as long as you want to without stopping with 8 batteries and charger. How long does it take to get a full charge on them, Seth?
That sounds more like it. I misunderstood at first and freaked me outRechargeable lithium batteries. Thats the cost to buy them, but get many uses from each battery.
I thought you were pushing 50, Ben?I got an antique 7 year old tracker weiner. now obsolete.
Thanks J. You’re making me feel young again.I thought you were pushing 50, Ben?
I just passed the two year recurrent test. Man they made it easy, free and convenient.I passed my 107 test today, so likely I will have something in place next season perhaps if I pull the trigger on a good one. The drone I have now is good for doing like you said, checking CRP or crop fields during the day, but I wouldn't trust in much in the woods or charge a paying customer for its use.
Haven't got to that point yet, but good to know. I'm having a blast with the drone and gaining some invaluable information.I just passed the two year recurrent test. Man they made it easy, free and convenient.
What’s your ceiling on it? Is it different for recreational vs commercial applications?Haven't got to that point yet, but good to know. I'm having a blast with the drone and gaining some invaluable information.
Its the same unless you get FAA waivers, 400 ft AGL.What’s your ceiling on it? Is it different for recreational vs commercial applications?
Great clarity Brock. How far away is that shot taken?
