Reminds me of our last undefeated season. Kept winning. Wasn't pretty. Just kept figuring out ways to win. I've only seen highlights. Looking forward to seeing the replay. Sounded like Harrison and Henderson put up big numbers. Nice to hear the running game did something.
Hoping all players keep improving with each game under their belt. OL and McCord are still our weak links. McCord needs to quit turning the ball over and the 5 big uglies need to BLOCK and PROTECT better.

Ok, even I'll admit it: We're overrated. Should be #3 behind GA and Meatchicken. I get it, we have a great defense and we beat ND and PSU, while GA and ND haven't really played anyone as tough as ND/PSU, but if you've been paying attention at all, we're VERY beatable and ❌️ichigan will destroy us. The fact that McCord is in any award talks is laughable at best. I could probably throw for 200 a game with those receivers (says the armchair HS varsity backup QB). This whole #1 ranking is exactly why people love to hate Ohio State. It's undeserved and we'll piss it away soon enough.

I agree. Rankings don't mean shit as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather be ranked 4th at this point.
I agree that OSU should not be #1. I'd, personally, have UM #1 and UGA #2. It's early and it will all work itself out, as it always does.
As for UM vs OSU, I agree that UM has the better team. I'm not even sure how close it is. Maybe we'll have an idea after we see how the Wolverines do vs PSU. When it comes to McCord, I think it shows how spoiled OSU fans have been for the last decade. JT Barrett, Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields, CJ Stroud...McCord isn't those guys, but he's not a bum, either. I think this is the reality of losing Quinn Ewers to transfer. This was supposed to be his team, not McCord's. All that being said, this is college football and the best/most talented team doesn't always win. I think UM will beat OSU, but these are kids ages 18-22 and they can and will make mistakes. Turnovers can swing a game fast. Injuries could happen between now and the game. Upsets happen all the time. There were plenty of Michigan teams that probably shouldn't have beaten OSU in the Cooper years. I don't think this is a bad OSU team, my opinion is that they just don't have the "extra gear" that OSU teams of the last 10 years have had to roast most opponents.

Fans are not comfortable. To be a number one rated team, the fans have to be comfortable. It is pretty bad when the fans all agree that we are overrated

But that wouldn't tee up the argument that OSU should get the #4 spot in the playoffs even if they lost to Michigan and didn't play in their conference championship game because "they only have one loss to a very dominant team."
2002 and 2015 I didn't feel we were dominant but we kept finding ways to win. I don't see number 1 but we have an "okay" QB and an "okay" o-line. Those are our weak links. If they steadily improve throughout the season we could finish in top. I'd argue our 2nd and 3rd string WR and RB aren't far off from our first string. Defense is impressive. Time will tell.

Put our o-line on most teams and it is an improvement for that team. Honestly, our terrible o-line will look okay on an unranked team or even a team ranked in the mid teens. For a NC contending team? Yes. Abysmal. I agree.
I'm not in denial. You aren't stirring anything up. It is what it is. They've been "good enough" to make our QB look "okay" as well.
QB isn't going to win any awards. Certainly not a Heisman. He's been good enough so far behind an okay o-line. If we had a commanding o-line and a more accurate QB there wouldn't be any doubt why we were ceded number 1.
First half didn't impress me as a #2 vs .500 team.... second half they are doing better but they aren't impressive in the red zone
IMO, the OL, QB and DB coaches should at least be on the hot seat for not doing their jobs and developing these highly ranked HS recruits. They come in talented and skilled but need honed and perfected and guided. If any DB coach coaches or pushed players to face guard and look at the receivers eyes then swat at the ball when it gets there should never have been hired to begin with, IMO. There are drills we did over 40 years ago in HS where we were coached to turn your head especially on the deep routes and PLAY the ball as if you’re the receiver. There’s less chances in getting a flag and more chances in getting a pick when you look back for the ball! AND if it’s 3rd and anything why are the DB’s off the LOS 10 yards and starting to back peddle at the snap?!?!?STUPIT

As for OL, WHERES THE NASTINESS ATTITUDE and DEMEANOR?!?!? They are a far cry from the BIG BAD AND UGLY description. They come off as timid, passive and not giving AF, and AGAIN(coaches fault)IMO
As for McCord at QB, he acts as though he’s not ready to be the leader on any D1 squad especially one that’s ranked high. Kid lacks confidence and looks for Harrison Jr nearly 90% of the time and if he doesn’t have 3 guys on him he checks down to nearest receiver to the LOS(safest throw) which usually nets negative to a few yards. I see QB’s on many other schools that play with confidence and aren’t afraid to run at least some that appear to have much more confidence and are more talented than Kyle. Again……(coaching, IMO)
OSU won’t go any further or win anymore games from here on out until McCord plays better or steps up and exudes more confidence and performs better. I’ve seen way too many plays where even though pass protection might have lacked KM could have easily got 5 yards rushing or more to advance the sticks to maintain possession but also give our D more of a breather and help us in field position. As sub par as the OL has played a QB at any other present top 25 team would be salivating to be at the helm of this OSU team and would embrace it! The Western Kentucky QB we played real early this year with his legs and moxey could put this team in the Natty more so than KM, IMO.
Note to Day: Scrap the predictable and easily read pass play behind the LOS towards the sideline cuz it rarely works! Throw the F’ing ball DOWN the field to a TE on inside slant or wheel route or something! QB lacks confidence because you lack confidence! And AGAIN(THATS COACHING), IMO.
