Was in Licking county Tues until last night, BIL and buddy still there. Last two days bucks have chasing
A buck got a Hardon for a @Fullbore decoy and did a full blown cannonball amongst a bunch of honeysuckle……how’d you like me now…..

My little piece of woods has been on fire this week..chasing, cruising, grunting, snort wheezing, scraping, rubbing, the works lol. Passed couple 4 year olds so far. Haven't seen what I consider a shooter yet but hopefully soon.

May be fitting for a few here today!
Hunted highland county this morning. Everything seemed normal. No chasing or harassment going on. Everything went completely dead after daybreak.

Another 11 does and mild harassment from 5 bucks. What I've seen this week says the bucks are ready but the does aren't quite there yet.
I’ll be in a stand Wednesday, it can break loose then!

6 bucks and 4 does this morning, chasing in the dark and in the brush after light. Videod two 3-4yr olds scrapping at first light. One was probably close to a shooter but it had either a broken or short G3.I’ll be in a stand Wednesday, it can break loose then!
Lots of standing corn still up and 90% of rut done between the 7:00’s is killing us in our areas. If you’re set up DW near that hot doe in your area stay in for the entire day and if not change areas/stands till you find it if you’re lucky to have multiple farms. We’re not and are limited to dead zones so just gotta keep at it till a big one comes off her and starts to roam in daylight.
Lot of corn up by me also. 90 acres got cut but still around 250 acres standing. Hoping it gets cut in the next couple days.
Saw more big boys on their feet the last few days in October. Just small bucks crusimg now. Does still have their little ones with them. Not sure what to make of it. Maybe an early hot or two and now waiting on the rest of them? Don't know. Not seeing near the does either. I'm certain it is happening somewhere. Just not right here at the moment.
Big boys have nudged her in thickets and are locked down waiting till dark 30, repeat till she’s bred then they’ll be back on the move being more vulnerable.IMO
