Not sure what I’m missing but I can’t figure out why there isn’t a steady stream of CH46 helos from all the military bases that are around there bringing in supplies and evacuating wounded from day one?
I asked the same question, just pisses me off! People are currently dying from lack of food and water.

Talked to my cousin tonight in Western NC. They had to drive an hour to SC to get gas. They have a spring for water. They did get power back but he claims it is only because the generator at the local FD quit and it bumped the priority up for his area. I suppose it could be coincidence.

His current status: he and his wife work at two different grocery stores. They are working daily. Getting food is an issue. Food coming in like produce has been rotten (which in previous talks to him it sounds fairly common to get a load where much of it gets tossed.) Just sounds worse than normal at the moment. Supplies coming in are an issue. FEMA is doing nothing. BUT he did say Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse, and half a dozen others are indeed working hard.

They have had supply trucks literally hijacked at gun point. There have been guns pulled at gas stations. Arrests were made for the gas station incident. He said it has been a bit lawless though. He said they have food. He can hunt and fish and being grocery store workers helps as they are the first to see the food come in. It is a concern though for their safety. Fears of desperate people breaking in and looting are real. Gas siphoning is a legit concern.

He said the rebuilding taking place is neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone pitching in to build walking bridges. He also said they have mules packing stuff in and out for others more remote than he is.

This is not okay. We must DEMAND our politicians stop sending money we do not have, to foreign countries where there is zero financial oversight. Americans are suffering.

Here’s a fact for you. EVERY single home you see affected by a mudslide is not covered by insurance. It’s an exclusion, like sink holes.

And, 95% of the homes destroyed by flooding in WNC have no flood insurance.

And, the ones that do are limited to a max of $250k in damages. That will buy half of a starter house.

This is catastrophic. Our government will give money we don’t have, to everyone but us, and raise your taxes to do it, while you starve.

This is how you build a welfare state.

The area hit hardest is the only chip grade quartz for silicon in the US. It also happens to be the richest source of mica in the world. It was recently discovered that mica contains lithium, which is used in batteries.

I wonder who will be buying up the land that has no access once people start defaulting on their loans or realize they aren’t getting insurance money?

- $24,400,000,000 to Ukraine.
- $11,300,000,000 to Israel.
- $1,950,000,000 to Ethiopia.
- $1,600,000,000 to Jordan.
- $1,400,000,000 to Egypt.
- $1,100,000,000 to Afghanistan.
- $1,100,000,000 to Somalia.
- $1,000,000,000 to Yemen.
- $987,000,000 to Congo.
- $896,000,000 to Syria.
- $9,000 per illegal immigrant that has entered the U.S.

And Americans who have lost everything to Hurricane Helene will be getting $750, courtesy of FEMA.

There is evidence that the hurricane was directed with cloud seeding and energy pulses. There has never been this much water dumped this far inland. It was modified. Just like how they wanted to make Hawaii a smart city, you have to ask why would they do it? There are quartz mines in NC that the locals were protesting the mining of. Disaster strikes, people don't have insurance, someone (cough Blackrock) I'm sure will buy it.
