Whatever happened to coonskinner? I know he used to host a early hunt in the Wayne.
He was brought up at a funeral last year, no one really knew. Retired, got a boat and kinda fell away from everyone.
Hes still around. I follow him on FB. His camp was burned by too many people who tried to take advantage of him. Say what you may about him, he took me in as stranger and dumb 18 year old kid and showed me the ways of the big woods of WNF....which coming from the flatland, was like a whole new world too me. I think highly of him.

Yup, I remember people had nothing but good things to say about his willingness to show others around the Wayne and would enjoy reading the posts about it.
He was the first person I ever met that didn't try and kill every deer. I was 13 when I met him. Totally different person than he was online. Good dude

Hunted this am for a couple hours before it warmed up. Had a couple does pass through and a 2.5 year old 8 hot on their trail. Temp drop Wednesday to Thursday looks solid.
How many days are we into the season? My target buck was daylighting while I was being a slave to me job! Is the rut over?! F-me
