Last Saturday I was stood up on a dog track by a "friend". It was for a 6 pt his Grandpa shot w/bow "down the side". (But still Gramps deer!) Never did get tracked that I know of. Same guy asked about doing a doe track last night at 7. I got ready to do it at 9. Hunter moved it until 10 without asking. Got him to wait until morning... (I have also turned down 2 other tracks/money to help him out)
This morning (after I'm already up) he pushes track until "later on". Then sends me these pics...

I politely told him Maxx and I are worth much more than to be treated like this. And there will be no other arrangements made for him ever.
His reply: But I still have a doe that needs tracked!
My reply: Good Luck.

Can you blame me?
NOPE!!!!! People suck!!!!

Done a crazy track Friday. It was in relation to one on a deer hunting site. Majority saying dead deer~~go get it!
We went in behind a drone that had found a steaming gut pile... but the blood trail in the snow came from opposite direction. (Hunter verified pile).
By corn pile, I find 2 handfulls of white hair and ask about a low hit? Hunters Dad said no, he'd seen fletchings @ mid-body at the shot. Maxx got busy and progresses the track about 6-700 yds. Maxx was smelling the air and trying to divert. Hunters Dad says "we're near the gut pile, lets go back and restart @ field. Maxx went in a small thicket and found a bloody bed, just as we start back on original track, sxs pulls up to run us out but we had permission. We had walked past a raised blind a few min ago and she was in it! 😵💫 She was pretty cool after she realised who Maxx was. We tracked her sons deer last year. She asked which buck we were tracking, then produced this pic...

Track was pretty much called after that.

Thinking about it all at home: I think the low hit on belly deflected arrow fletchings high to distract "Dad". Buck was chasing a doe and eating on cam 2 hrs after the shot. Buck then followed her onto County Park with draw hunts. Buck possibly shot and became a gut pile. Landowner has cams back there. They will be letting me know which of the 3 shooter bucks come up missing.
Maxx done his part very well. Sure hope for total closure.
