    2025 2026 Goals thread

I think my only real goal for this year is to shoot a deer that doesn’t have buttons or lost its spots within the past month or 2. I’d hate to end a 20+ year streak though 😂

Let me or Nate know what days you guys will be up. If I have the time I wouldn’t mind dragging my boat up and meeting up with ya guys

    Buck muffin

I’ve tried protein blocks similar to this in the past. The local deer don't seem to care for them a whole lot, and they typically get moldy and melt in the rain in my experience. Can’t speak for this one specifically though.

Funny this thread got bumped up again. I need to get this done as well

What broadheads do you plan to shoot this fall?

I’ve shot 125gr Stingers for a little over a decade out of stick bows and now a compound. Tried the G5 T2s last year and was pleased with the short blood trails, but wasn’t overly happy with not getting a pass thru. I’ll likely go back to the Stingers this year, but we’ll see.

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

Went and shot at a longer range today. The Magnus Stingers went shot for shot with the field points out to 50 in a fairly stiff crosswind. I’m impressed with the stability these small feathers have provided. Still have to dial in my sight tape and do a little nock tuning, but otherwise I’m pleased.

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

While working my part time gig, I had some free time to tinker and retune my bow and “new” arrows. Started from the ground up, set my rest for 13/16” and at the Berger hole. Shot a bareshaft through paper, had to shim my cam but got a gorgeous bullet hole. Did my tuning with the lighted nock and...

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

I was texting him yesterday about it. He is running a 3” 3 fletch shooting Iron Wills no problem. I’m trying to make my ass end as light as possible. I was around 65 grains on the back was just ridiculous. I didn’t check how heavy those AAEs were and here we are lol

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

That’s very similar to what my setup is/will be. I’d like to have more than 175gr up front, but I think I’m already maxing out my 300 spine with my 29.5” draw @ 60lbs. If I didn’t stock pile the 300 spines I’d consider going stiffer, but I don’t really see the need in my experience.

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

What length and cut are you using? After shooting a stick bow for the first 3/4 of my archery career, I certainly have a soft spot for feathers. I’d like to assume a 4 fletch 2” could steer a Magnus Stinger fine with a well tuned setup.

    Feather Fletchings w a Compound

So last year I spent a lot of time putting together my hunting arrows, but for whatever reason (mostly because I’m an idiot) did not consider the weight I was adding to the back with a wrap, 4 fletch and lighted nock. Essentially I hate them and want to redo them and increase my FOC and reduce...
