TOO Muzzy Hunt 1/6/24 Salt Fork - Meeting Location Added

I lived in apartment in New Concord right above the Plus One when I was in college. The cheese bread was $1.99 back in those days was the ultimate late night snack after a bunch of cold ones. Love that shit.

The Future of Hunting in Ohio

When you really listen to everything the two hosts state during the podcast, I don't know how we all can't walk away from it wanting to smack the shit out of them. The trophy hunting disease is 100% self-serving and as long as they have quality deer to put on the ground they are happy and could...

The Future of Hunting in Ohio

My hunting experiences in west central Ohio are three times better now than they were when I started hunting in 1996. Some of that can be attributed to my knowledge and skill, however, I have no doubt that the numbers are higher now than they were back then.

The Future of Hunting in Ohio

I’m with you. As it stands now I’d argue that half of the vertical bow hunters that hit the woods even now lack the proficiency needed harvest efficiently.

LIVE! From the Stand 2023-2024 Edition

One deer seen and only three shots heard. Ten years ago I would have heard one hundred shots by now.

    To many deer odnr

I had been like most and knew that there had been a significant decrease in numbers as the DNR implemented their past policies. Recently, I have seen an increase in sightings / buck inventory per cameras overall the past several years This has all occurred within a heavily hunted area...

    Ok guys go again.

I love running trail cameras, but I would venture to guess a great percentage of mature deer would have made it a lot longer if we had to rely on old school scouting techniques.

    TV's What's your Preference????

I have a 46 inch piece of shit TCL that has worked flawlessly for the past 12 years. I just upgraded to a 65 inch TCL this year that is working fine two months in. I’ve decided to “buy cheap and buy again” with TVs from here on out.

TOO & Much More on The Shedding Light Hunting Stories Podcast

I was able to listen to this today. I’ve failed on many occasions to verbalize my feelings on religion and spirituality and you nailed it for me. It’s good to know that I’m not alone. Thanks for sharing.

    Life Lessons.

I keep getting older and they really do stay the same age. At 41 I am really starting to enter into that creepy old man stage.

    Pew pew 2022

My 11 year old daughter bagged her first deer tonight. I’m fairly certain that I’ve never been that nervous in all of my years of hunting. Hunting season sure hits different when you experience it with your kids.

    Pew pew 2022

I would kindly explain that he’s ruining everyone else’s hunt when he’s moving around. When you are a guest and hunting as part of a group everyone needs to be treated with the same level of respect. It’s also a potential safety issue if he’s moving himself closer to others.

    Pew pew 2022

Best of luck to everyone that makes it out and for a safe return. Work has prevented me from hunting the opener the past few years, but I somehow managed to harvest bucks on Friday evening the past two years. Here’s hoping for completing the hat trick this year.

LIVE! From the Stand 2022-2023 Edition

This feels more like a January muzzleloader hunt than youth season. This morning may even be too cold for the deer.
