2014 Archery Buck is home

Chuck- I doubt 2015 will take care of it. I have had two tremendous years in a row. I will probably be hitting a 10yr drought now. I have used up all my good luck. lmao

Naw, even though luck always plays into things for everyone I've got a notion those two in a row were a result of a lil more than luck.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I do scout year round. I do put in a bunch of seat time when the conditions call for it. Outside of this, there needs to be the "luck" element to make the right deer give you a shot. I am fortunate in some of the properties I hunt. They can hold or bring in the right deer. Not everyone has this factor to their advantage. I guarantee there are guys on here doing the same thing I am but may not have as desirable properties to hunt. I have been there. Reality says I will be there again some day. Nothing is forever.

Very good post Phil, I totally agree!

I look at it like this as well. It's simple mathematics, the more shooter caliber deer you have running around your accessible area the more your odds increase on getting a shoot opportunity at a shooter buck. The more ass time you have just increases your chances even more. You still have to hunt smart, capitalize in crucial moments and make the shot but doing those 3 things won't put a mature deer down consistently if there just isn't any to hunt.
